Happy New Year, everyone! For all of the improvements to the Cable Tools in 2025, there is one issue I had to solve for myself. I often use gear from Christie Lites and they have their own standard lengths for cables. 4', 8', 16', etc.... So I dove into the Cable files and made up a batch of cables to match their specs. I also built their 3 main Distros (60 way 208, 30 way 208, and 30 way 120). As a bonus, I included the Road Case symbols that are available on Christie's site. How does the Distributor tool order these in the drop down list? And is there a way to have it in numerical order?

Currently, when you connect a cable to a breakout (distributor object), it snaps to the insertion point of that object as seen below: It would be great if you could define snapping points per circuit, which would make cable plans much more legible, as shown in this image: To do this, I had to break the connection between the cable and distributor, which is obviously not ideal. If the cable attaches to the distributor, you cannot move its anchor off of the distributors insertion point. Another really useful feature would be two fields to choose a primary and secondary color code for the breakout. So instead of the grey/orange you see in the images above, which are static per breakout type, I would love for those colors to be dynamic so they can match the color codes of the soca heads. Currently to do that I would have to make a new distributor object type for every breakout.

Trying to use the multi cable function in cable tools as a L21-30 "breakout" to hoist veam cable. Like an 8way hoist controller. So that I can then assign multicable circuits to the hoists and create a database for veam cables on a spreadsheet. I've added the L21-30 custom to Multi cable and L21-30>8x Hoist Veam to Breakout and Hoist Veam to Jumper, but the following happens when I go to set up the multi cable to assign circuits. Any thoughts? Is it possible Sam Jones? Thank you in advance.

Hi! been using the data chain tool and i want to add 2' automatically to the length for focus room. is there a way to do this? a setting i missed? thanks! -Bean

Is anyone else having issues with the Assign cable Circuits tool not adding the Jumpers or randomly ignoring the modifier keys (I.E. CTRL for twofer SHIFT for skip) ? half way through a drawing and all of a sudden no jumpers. save and restart and nothing. the tool is also randomly applying the modifier keys super frustrating.
