I created a horizontal section viewport to show an interior plan. Hadn't noticed I'd checked Background Render Settings/Shadows /On ground only "on". See image below. Which causes a random grey background in the VP....Removed by checking "off".

Printing black/white construction drawings. One of my Sheets has very slightly shaded background (scarcely noticeable), rather than being transparent/white. This massively increases the print spooling time (other normal documents print immediately).Anyone else had this puzzle? To clarify: it's the entire printed area--excepting the paper margin--that has the shading, not just the viewport. And I've confirmed that background is set to white in interactive appearances tab.

I am trying to place an outdoor panoramic background image around a model I am trying to render from 8 different camera angles. For the background I have made an image prop using an extruded arc that has been converted into a nurbs. On this I have placed a texture of the panoramic image, the sky has a transparency mask so I can use the HDRI sky in renderworks. The problem I am having is trying to get the image to scale and map to where I want it on the nurbs. for some reason the image crops out and repeats in random vertical sections and does not wrap continuously around the surface, I have tried using a decal but this has proved too difficult. I have tried turning off horizontal and vertical tiling and this doesn't work either. I'm sure there has to be a way to get this to work, any ideas much appreciated.

Hi, newbie here, I am rendering a room full of glass and mirrors; from the angle in the attached image, the large window is behind me, to the right on the back wall - but I would like to be able to see the sunset reflections in the mirrors that I am facing. I put a 'wall' outside my window and tried to apply the HDRI background as a texture - but this doesn't work. I cant find any resources detailing how to do this (or ones that discuss the subject matter, I don't understand!) How do I go about doing this? Thanks

It would be very useful to be able to adjust the XYZ coordinates for a background. How difficult would this be?
