  1. This is new behavior in 2025 and doesn't happen in 2024. I have a 2D symbol that consists of a polygon that has a white solid fill with a black pen. This symbol also contains a text object that does not overlap that polygon, sitting next to it. That text has a back pen and NONE fill. How I use this symbol is I add a custom data record to it that has a dropdown list of options, and a data visualization setup so that the fill changes to a different pattern and color based on what's selected in the data record. In 2024, the data visualization does not effect any part of my 2D symbol that has a "NONE" fill. In 2025, it overrides this "NONE" and adds the fill to all parts of my 2D symbol. In 2025, it's adding the pattern and color to my text object that has a "NONE" fill. I'd love to know if this is intended behavior moving forward or just a bug! Thanks.
  2. I was thinking "Split Opening" would have an option to split the opening with vertical bars (as opposed to horizontal shelves)? I don't see an option for that, or really any difference at all between "opening "and "split opening"
  3. The curb tool is not functioning properly as a site modifier for me. I created a site model with a very simple slope I selected an existing curb model from 'curbs imp'. I put two curbs in to symbolize opposite sides of a street. I reversed one curb so that they are facing each other However, when I updated the site model, it deformed around the curb but didn't recognize the 2D loci for the modifier height. I also added a grade limit to see if it would help, but it didn't. I've attached a sample file. Any insights into what I might be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. curb tool test.vwx
  4. I'm having a little trouble again with the workspace editor. In 2024 you can select a "subline" like projection/orthogonal and then set a keyboard shortcut (see 1st screen grab). In 2025 I can't select sublines, only the top line, in this case trying to select orthogonal results in all of the projection options selected (see 2nd screen grab). oddly this isn't consistent across all the menus - I can select individual sublines in some menus, and it selects multiples in other menus. Has the selection method changed? 2024 - single sub line selection 2025 - only selects all the submenus
  5. I'm using the countertop tool in a kitchen and adding a backsplash. My backsplash profile is set to a rectangle that is 1/2"deep x 18"high for the bottom of my cabinets. I have a range with a hood that is an additional 18"-24" above the bottom of my cabinets. I've gotten the backsplash modifiers to subtract an area but I haven't found a way to add an area. Is this possible in the current version or might it be possible in a future update? Thank you, Derek
  6. I wish that the macOS system requirements for Vw2025 had been released earlier – when downloading the installer, I just saw that macOS 13 (Ventura) is the minimum system macOS. Because I have an older MacBook Pro, I've been running a few macOS versions behind (currently 12.7.6 Monterey). I just read on Apple's website that my 2016 MacBook Pro is too old to run macOS 13 Ventura. So in order to run Vw2025 (which I have already paid for), I now also need to buy a new computer. Frustrating. Guess I can't use Vw2025 until then. Rant over.
