  1. I would like to see an option where one can set up standard line styles similar to text styles in word processors. The style would have set information about thickness, color, dash pattern, et cetera. For example one could have a pattern for electrical lines, section cut lines, and so forth. Thanks, F_
  2. I currently set my worksheet to do a variety of calculations, but the end sumamtion total is wrong. The scenario is that I have made a worksheet that has a column for square footages of rooms and another columns for square footage per person for occupancy counts. The square footage is divided by the ratio and the result is displayed in another column with the column set not to show any decimal numbers. However, when I another cell to be the summation of the occupancy count number, the result is a couple off than if I check it with a calculator. After some investigation, I believe that VectorWorks still maintains the decimal values (though they don't show) and uses those values in the final summation. That is why the final summation is a little off. Is there any way to make VectorWorks to sum only the shown, non-decimal values? Thanks, F_
  3. I am currently using VectorWorks 8.5.2. After drawing several dimension strings, I have to go back and change the tolerance level from the "1/2" default to what I want (1/8"). Even though I keep on changing the drawn dimension strings to my desired tolerance level, it always defaults back to 1/2" How do I specify the default value? Thanks Fred
  4. I have a question as to the "area" function of worksheets. What I'm wanting to do is to is acquire the area of pre-selected rectangles and have those values automatically inputed into a worksheet. Does the "area" function cover such a thing? The application is where we have a table made up of various rooms' square footages. Presently we manually check each polygon, write down the area value, then re-input that number into a worksheet. Ideally when we change the area of the polygon, the new area is brought into the worksheet. I tried using the "area" function but I'm not sure how to (or if its possible) to link that function to specific polygons or rectangles. Thanks!
