  1. Hi have another problem

Every time I try to fillet the edge of my model (highlighted red) Im presented with the pictured Error Box of Vectorworks freezes.

I created the object Im trying to fillet by creating the shape in 2D Polygon Tool and then extruding it.

Any help with this would be great

  2. My thread has been hijacked lol.

Im still unsure if archoncad's books are worth the price especially if Im working with architect. I have money here Im just wondering if I can find answers to questions for free?

So ive worked out it will cost me ?42 with manual itself; how much will shipping be?

archoncad you have a potential buyer here

  3. The Render tab texture selection will be the mullions. You can either just select a texture as you have done or assign it a Style associated with a texture that you have defined. The Style-Glazing # will texture will be the glazing. If you want to change the look of the glazing you need to define the Glazing style with a "Glass" texture, then customize it how you wish. You shouldn't define the Glazing styles with textures that are not glazing like, rather define them as different looks of glass-i.e. very transparent or more reflective in a file to create different looks.

    Thank you Damon Design

Could you also help with this one:

How do you creat a fill for handrail 1. like handrail 2.?

EDIT: Sorry its not a Handrail its a Guardrail lol

  4. Window Wall objects have two Classes:

    - A "container Class" at the top of the OIP (and Properties) which controls the finish to the framing.

    - A Glazing Class towards the bottom of the OIP (and Properties) which controls the finish to the glass (Style-Glazing 1, 2 and 3).

You need to apply your glass texture to the Glazing Class rather than the "container Class".

I still cant get the hang of it.

The only place I have been able to change the materials of mullions is under the Render Tab.

But the glazing always seems to stay the same.

  5. Thank you Mike but what does OIP stand for?

Also is it possible to create a curved double line to represent a curved wall in a 2d Plan that can be filled with a colour with out using the wall tool which will automatically create a 3d object.

Thanks for you help again & best regards,

  6. I dont mean to sound rude but why is it still on the website?

I am looking for tutorial manuals for Vectorworks 12/12.5 which can be bought here in the UK and have metric measurments - any help with this?

Ive found on the whole the support and training that has been available in the form of manuals very poor compared to the abundance of tutorials for AutoCAD products

  7. Hi Monkey, gmm18

Thanks for the advice but I started the project again and everything seems to be working fine now.

I do have one more question regarding circles.

I have uploaded two screen dumps regarding my question.

Picture 1 shows the radius of the circle Ive created (measurement sh0wn in BLUE) & the measurement of the line that the radius was created from (red).

    PICTURE 1:

    1308.jpg

However when I zoom right into the end of the line and the edge of the circle they don't meet - picture 2

    PICTURE 2

Sorry about the quality of the screen dumps thats MS paint for you lol.

  8. Hi & thanks for the fast reply.

In tools >organization > classes there is tick next to none with the dimension class above it. When I put a tick next to the Dimension class I can see the measurements but not the drawing. This hasn't been a problem before with my other drawings.

Ive just high lighted all the parts of my drawing and set the class to Dimension in the object info palette.

I then went back in to tools >organization > classes and put a tick next to dimension under the class name.

I can now see both drawings and measurements.

In my other drawing I had class set to none and I was still able to take and see the measurements using the Constrained-line dimensioning tool.

    I'm confused
