if I understand correctly the layer height gives the story height but you can change them in the Layer setup also

My Vectorworks 13 does not close completely. I have to force quit each time. Is this a problem? I have VW12 on my HD can this be an issue? Please advise Thank you

I would like to create a symbol of a round door that is called moon door in chinese. It is an open round framed opening. Here is my result with creating it. As you can see it is less than what I was expected from the imaged reference. Could anyone suggest a fix or a better way to do this?

I usually use the plugin provided by VW but the profiles do not match the manufacturers details. I noticed that you can insert a symbol instead from inside the Object info panel. Do you insert a 3d symbol? Are these fixed or can you change the dimensions? I would like to be able to create proper elevation and wall sections.. Is there a section of the help that treats o the subject online? Thank you

In design layer I like to render the referenced geometry in grey tone. When I create a viewport though the referenced geometry turns black. Is there a fix for that? a different approach? Thanks Design Layer Viewport in Sheet Layer

I have 4 section viewports, 2 have automatic labeling showing up and 2 have not their label. When I add labels as a note the software tells me that there is already a label although I can't see it. I turned all the layers and classes on but still nothing. I also made sure that I am on plan view but that did not do anything. Any suggestion?

I was trying to step up a basement wall in 3d

I crashed at least 6 times today with the last update of VW, very frustrating. any suggestions? when it crashes and I reopen the program all my palettes are gone and I need to reopen them, loosing any organisation I previously did. Is there a way to save that organization? also, my file seems very big for the little information I have. Is there something wrong with it? can I attach it to this post ? if anyone can look at it and let me know what they think I would appreciate it thank you very much

this is crazy, with all new update things go wrong again! I cannot reshape walls as before, it seems like I am stuck on the layer plane which does not help. Any suggestion on how to add a step to my wall?

i just have either layer plane or screen plane, where do I find the automatic option ?

This looks like a class texture definition issue. For texture other than walls you need to specify the appropriate texture under the "other" category of the render option on your specific class. Hope that helps
