Yeah, I've been having similar problems. It's worth pointing out that I have a known incompatibility with Mac OS X and my old EPSON 1520. A nasty discovery. I've been trying to print to file and can't seem to get it to do it. Really a drag because I have to send my files out to a printing agency and I' find myself having to reboot into OS 9 just to make a pdf. Adobe acrobat was supposedly not necessary for this operation in OS X. BOGUS!!!! Any ideas anyone? I've heard installing certain PS drivers on your machine can help even if you don't actually have said printers hooked up.

There must be a better way to install windows/doors in walls than the primitive method I've been reduced to using. I've could never get the insertion of symbols to offset from the corner of a room instead of the centerline of the wall at the corner. So I typically place a small line in the wall where I'd like the edge of the window/door to be. This way I can place a window/door in the wall and drag it to its proper location by snapping to the line. Very slow. What am I missing?! Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is the best way to import a logo from illustrator 8 into VW 8.5.2 on a mac g4. I tried EPS and I get a grain to my image. I tried pict and the geometry is a little screwed up. Tiff gives me memory problems. Which one should I push on? Or maybe there is a fourth way. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Is there any way of darkening up the "gray" visibility in the layer settings window? I'm trying to not "use layer colors" and stick to the world of class colors. My walls always come out too pale.

I've been sending documents from my g4 with vw 8.5.2 to a local print house that uses a 1050C. I have to use acrobat distiller to send it as a pdf file. Long story short I've been having an odd cropping problem where the lower border gets cut off. It pretty much looks like for some reason the drawing is shifted just a little out of the print range though the same border layer prints fine on other sheets. Curious. Anyhow, I think the scale is fine. Have you tried pdf printing? Good luck.

Also I would like to be able to return to the selection arrow using my mouse. I've got a 4 button logitech mouse using usb overdrive. Right now the right click is set to "tab" and the thumb is set to "x". A triple right click gets me to the length entr field with the line and wall tool, and a single thumb gets me back to the selection arrow. This later function will not work when I'm using the text tool because "x" is a letter. I'm sure this is a plebian question for those in the know but I am sadly not. Any ideas for short cutting these two simple commands? Also, it looks like there is no repeat last command function either. Any help is appreciated.

I agree with the other epson 1520 user. I've had good luck with but that one corner always wrinkles. I called Epson about it and they tld me to adjust the paper thickness lever. Hasn't really helped although I haven't experimented extensively.

I've been looking at the HP455/488CA E-SIZE(36") used. Does anyone have any feedback on this? It sounds good but if th glitches are anything like the ones I'm having with the local plotting services I'm in for trouble.
