  1. Hi Islandmon, thank you for your reply I am telegraphing this thread for our office, there is some delay as I share information with the architects here and get some feedback for my followup posts. The guys here are aware of the 0,0 reference you mentioned at page center. we have observed: The viewport shifts we are seeing are repeatable to predictable locations (random viewports move to predictable coordinates ie: X = 328'10.29" Y = -452'7.448" or to X = -328'10.29" Y = 452'7.448" We have >100 viewports in one of our project master files. We are no closer to understanding what is the root cause of this shift and welcome any explanation Thanks ___________________________ Architects VW Architect 2009 SP5 Imac 20" Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.4 GHz 2 GB RAM Mac Pro 2 x 2.66 Dual Core Intel Xeon 2 GB RAM and more... all on Mac OS 10.5.8
  2. Thanks, we have (as an office) used VW Architect in all its iterations since before I began working here in 2002. Both these projects are for active clients being billed hourly for our time. Since we have to go and re-locate all the previously saved work, we can solve the problem or finance this time-consuming loss. I am hopeful that we find a workable solution with minimum financial impact. Unfortunately blanket 'version testing' is best done in a software lab and not really workable in a business setting.
  3. This issue is taking place on 2 different projects, 2 different architects. same office same server, using the same 'master file and subfolder structure'. running VW2009 SP5 all on Intel Processor Macs (10.5.8) We are experiencing a viewport error for externally referenced files. Somehow the referenced file is not in the same place as when the viewport was created. In other words the shift occurs within the viewport (e.g., the vp remains in the same location in the master file. The shift occurs within the vp...). Images attached are 'as saved' and then once file is 'reopened' All the viewports in the file are experiencing this problem and we have no idea why. We are also reaching out through local user group and technical support. Feel free to contact us with questions. HELP!!
  4. we've seen the same problem here too. no result or response yet? Vectorworks 2009 Architect SP5 MAC OS X 10.5.8 /Intel Core Duo
  5. I just want to say that if you are running Vectorworks on an Intel dual core IMAC. That your best served by running OS 10.5.4 and no further, just my 2 cents.
