  1. I have to agree with the earlier posts about this subject, but the slowdown comes for me after I use a document script that I wrote. There is always a noticeable slowness after running this script, but sometimes it is as long as 5 seconds between clicking and getting the repsonse on the screen! Is this truly an allocated memory problem?
  2. Two days in a row now, Vectorworks 9.0.1 has "lost" the workspace. I get a message saying that "there are no workspaces in your Workspaces directory," which leaves me no option but to completely reinstall the program. Is anyone else having this problem?
  3. Can anyone tell me a good place to start learning Vectorscript? I do not have a programming background, and Nemetschek's book for 8.5 assumes that you do. I need to learn how to create dialog boxes, then retrieve the info from those boxes and use them to draw rectangles, then enter their height and width in a spreadsheet.
  4. good luck with that book...I have it, and all they do is throw a bunch of long programs at you as examples. If you've never programmed befoe, you head will be spinning!

  6. This is just an inexcusable mistake. It seems to be the ONLY command (which, of course, I desperately need) not supported in Vectorscript. DO these guys actually use their own products? And whose brilliant idea was it to get rid of the "extend" command?
  7. PLEASE do not NOT tell me I can't use the offset command in Vectorscript...if it's not there, I wil be appalled! Has anyone seen it?
  8. Can someone tell me how to format a cell in a VW worksheet so that it will display the length and height of a rectangle separated by an "x"? My company makes sales displays, and we do a lot of rectangular wall frames, so a spreadsheet would work great for us. I know how to format one cell to give the height and a different cell to display width; How to do both so that a cell would say, for example, "52 x 48"??????
  9. Does anyone know how to import a 3d AutoCAD drawing and get rid of the extra diagonal lines on the faces (in Vectorworks)? I have done it with one drawing, and now I can't get the same result! HELP PLEASE!
