I am workign on the stage plan for a christmas show. I am looking for a 3D christmas tree but can't find one. Any ideas?

Yeah my goal is for this to be 3D. That has been the challenging part.

I am drafting a high school theatre space. The issue i am having is creating a front of house lighting position that is curved. I drew an arch to represent the lighting position but I am having trouble converting it to an LP. I think that I have to make it into a symbol but I am not entirely sure how to do that. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Its nice to get a reply from the author. So you think that I don't need to get the new Essentials manual correct? I know menu items have moved but most of the basics are still the same correct? If that is the case I will most likely get the 3D modeling manual along with the lighting one. I assume the 2009 version is the same as the 2010 correct? I noticed the 3D manual is for 2009. Thank you so much.

I am thinking of getting the training guides that are offered online. The last guide I had was the Essentials Manual for version 11. I have been using Vectorworks for the past 9 years but on a basic level. I want to get more advanced with scenic designs and lighting designs. What manuals should I look at? I am for sure going to get the Light Plot Deconstructed manual for sure. Should I also get the 3D manual and the Architect manual? Or should I get the essentials manual again? I am worried that the 3D manual and the architect manual might be overkill for me. I currently can do basic 2D applications and a little 3D stuff. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

I am starting to get into the 3D modeling on 11.5. I am have trouble turning on fixtures in a light plot so that it can be rendered. I am having trouble finding a way to do it in the help file. Any tips and suggestions. Also is there a haze option with 11.5 for concert lighting? Thanks.
