  1. Not that I've ran into issues with the plugin, but I always verify VW calculations with the PJ manufacturers lens calc. or an app that I have. You might say... measure twice, rig once.
  2. So in other words, I need to setup my preferences, tool sets, menus and class templates from scratch to avoid these glitches?
  3. Is this the same reason that some sub-classes duplicate themselves in the template I carried over from previous versions?
  4. Can't recall if it was there pre SP1. It is a workspace that I carried over from 14. I noticed now that when I switch to the fundamentals workspace that all the pallets are there.
  5. I'm noticing the "working plane" palette is missing as an option under window>palettes. Therefore when toggling the other palettes off and on, the results aren't matching what is being clicked, i.e., when I click navigation is opens and closes the resource browser.
  6. When mirroring a video screen object, the resulting mirrored projector is spun around 180?.
  7. iphone 5s ios 7.1.2 This is happening in both landscape and portrait modes in all of the functions. Pan, flyover and walkthrough seem to be functioning.
  8. Just installed it and I'm seeing some problems in just a few minutes of use: Import symbol dialog has text missing and I don't remember the views drop down on the tool bar looking like that. Nothing has changed other than the SP4 install since I was working on this same file yesterday afternoon. Disregard: Both issued resolved themselves after restart.
  9. Doesn't work for me. Placed the 3d loci and ran the command... nothing happens.
  10. That was it. I went from hanging lights on a truss to mounting them on a boom, So it looks like the transition point is at 10'4" from the Z of the focus point to the Z of the fixture.
  11. In the middle of working on a drawing and all of the sudden, any fixture I put down, the beam shows vertically even though the option isn't checked in the fixture editor. The other fixtures I placed before this started are all working properly. Same thing happens in a new file even after restarting Vectorworks.
  12. I don't have the gobo folders in my libraries-textures folder. I've downloaded and installed the spotlight and renderworks content packages.
  13. Thanks for the reply. It's not there in wireframe mode. It doesn't appear in fast or final renderworks. Moving with the walkthrough tool in opengl, the "ghost" disappears as the view moves and when I let go of the mouse button, the wireframe reappears in the opengl render. Just noticed my sig specs are out of date. Should be: OS X 10.8.5 and Vworks 2014 SP2
  14. When using the 3d view or renderworks camera with a referenced drawing, I'm getting a wireframe "ghost" of part of my drawing in the middle of my room.

  17. Andrew, I'm trying to do something similar with the audio tool. I've made a hybrid symbol, added it to the genericspeaker.vwx, copied the ATS-SpkrModData to my custom speaker object but I keep getting a "The symbol you've selected does not contain valid speaker data and will not be kept." error once I try using it with the plugin.

I'm trying out the cable tools plugin and noticed that I'm unable to change the class of the feeder and data cable from the default classes unlike the jumper cables which I can switch to any class. Is anyone familiar with this? I've sent an email to Sam but haven't heard back yet so I thought I'd check here in the meantime. Thanks!
  19. I have a drawing of a building floor plan in a .mcd format. I'm isolating the wall class and applying an extrude but when I add a texture it's not showing up. As an experiment, I created an extruded box on the same class and layer it also won't texture. But if I add in a resource item such as a chair, they will render.
  20. Mark, Thanks. That seems to have it looking a bit normal again. I assume then that once you start turning on lights, that changes how parts of the scene is rendered?
