1. Are you running the latest updates? Yes 2. Can you please give me the full path to where you are saving your files? Here is some new info. The path to the root is OK. What I learned today is that they were saving to a USB flash drive. So, save as to a flash drive close the program. Have yet to ask how it goes when saving to network drive. 3. What are you backup settings? same location as original file. Thanks

We have had some luck today and narrowed the problem a bit. While saving to the root of "C" i.e "my Documents" all save commands work normally. If saving to a USB thumb drive it saves and closes the program. I have yet to go back and see what happens when saving to a network drive.

Using VW 08 on XP pro sp2. And have discovered that the "save as" command saves the drawing and then proceeds to exit the VW application. No warnings or errors just a normal close. I should add that the "save as" is the only save option that causes this problem. Any advice appreciated.

Still a problem but not a big deal to save to the root then copy to the flash drive. Thanks

Hi, I'm about to post a similar problem. My problem is only using the "save as" command. It does save the drawing but it also closes the program. It's a silent crash, no errors or warnings it just closes. Is this similar to your situation? Thanks
