  1. This is the file I can't get to work. Bosch Wall Ovens HBLP651RUC.vwx
  2. Are there other headsets that it will work with like the Utopia 360 pro?
  3. Yes, I have set it to insert into walls.
  4. I downloaded a symbol from Modlar.com and no matter what I do, I cannot get the symbol to insert into a wall. Also, if I go into a symbol and set it to it's correct height in the z axis, the 2D attributes seem to disappear and it becomes transparent. Has anyone come across this problem, and what did you do to fix it?
  5. Pat, Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. To answer your questions: 1. I don’t mind working on PC’s, but would rather keep working on my Mac. I definitely don’t like looking for drivers, interrupts or any of the other information needed to keep a custom built PC working. 2. My time is very valuable, especially this new year as it looks to be a very busy year for me, professionally. I would much rather be able to concentrate on my work instead of dealing with issues associated with building a PC. I have built many PC’s (Windows-based), but definitely get where you are coming from. 3. I was talking about building a windows machine. I have never attempted to build a hackintosh and know that it is not really allowed and I wouldn’t even know where to start I will most likely take your advice and wait until I can afford to upgrade to a new Mac Pro.
  6. Don't upgrade to Interiorcad 2015, it doesn't work and I have been arguing with Extragroup about what they are going to do to fix it. They at first told me they are not releasing anymore service pack updates for 2015 version and will only be working on 2016 version. I asked so we are supposed to just deal with a non-working version of the software. They apologized after several emails from me and are going to work on another service pack update to address some of the major bugs. They say everything works in Interiorcad 2016, but I can't upgrade yet, because I would have to update my Mac, Vectorworks and Interiorcad. I just don't have the money to do that right now. As for your question, there is an "Invisibles" class for Interiorcad, try turning that on and see if that works.
  7. Hey everyone, I am currently debating building a machine versus buying one. I have always had a Mac and would love to have the new Mac Pro. However, $3K is a lot to spend. What do you all think, build or buy?
  8. In the drawings though, would you draw a single, relatively thick wall and then insert it into that wall or just model an extruded wall and subtract a solid area out of it to insert the fireplace?
  9. Has anyone done a two-sided fireplace? I found a discussion about it and there was a link to a file but that link is since broken.
  10. Is there a way to create the first step to have round corners and do this in Vectorworks? Do I need to model it? What is the best approach for this?
  11. Wes, any ideas of where to start in creating a script that could do this?
  12. Is there a way to auto-number my doors and windows so that I don't have to manually count the number of doors or windows I have of a certain size?
  13. Is there a way to relink a section line to a viewport? The section line were deleted but the viewport remains. I can update the viewport but it is no longer linked to the correct section line.
  14. Mike is correct. If you go to Tools/Workspace you should see one that is called "Interiorcad Architect." You can then adjust the settings however you like.

    Lights

Ok, that worked. However, I can't seem to be able to change the thickness. Also, the stripes looked like they are dashes.

    Lights

Ok, I will give that a try.

    Lights

Perfect. Now is there a way to have the parking stripes show up?
  18. cwailes

    Lights

    Yup, I just did.

Why do my lights show up like this in my renderings and how do I turn this off? Also, How do I get my parking stripes to appear in my renderings. The "Show 3D Stripes" does nothing.
  20. See my post above, this was the only solution they had for me until their Engineers can figure out how to fix the problem.
  21. Does anyone or has anyone ever modeled one of these? What is the best/easiest approach to doing this.
  22. I had a very similar problem with my VW's crashing especially when I was trying to render 15+ viewports of interior elevations. I sent several of the crash logs that were going to apple to the VW's tech support. After about a day, it was determined that VW's is having a problem with releasing the memory it was using to render the viewports. The work around they suggested was turn on save viewport cache. It worked I no longer crashed. I would render several of my viewports and then save and close VW. Then start it back up and render the rest. They (tech support) submitted this problem to the engineers, so hopefully there will be a fix for this soon. Since then I purchased 8 more GB's of RAM for my computer. Now granted VW is a 32 bit program so it can only access 4GB of the memory, but I was told the Rendering portion of the program is 64 bit so it can access all of the RAM I have. So we will see if increasing my RAM has helped with the crashes. Kizza don't give up on VW yet. It is still a great program and although it has flaws, all software has flaws nothing is perfect. You just have to trucking. Some of the other software's out there have a very high learning curve and I have found VW to be one of the best and most user friendly programs available. It can only get better and believe me they are work on it.
  23. InteriorCAD XS is awesome. I love it. Makes doing this type of work a breeze. Plus you have total customization of how they look and the hardware that is used.
  24. Ok, thanks for all of the advice I will mess around with it more. Again though, why is the floor set to 2 1/2 inches above slab? Shouldn't it be at 0?
  25. I have a few questions regarding stories. I have watched the stories movie in the service select area, but still have a few questions. 1. Why is the floor set to 2 1/2 inches above the slab, why would it not be set to 0 2. When you set up the roof is that part of the story set to the bearing height or something else. 3. Can someone share with me a blank file set up with stories where it has all layers set correctly so I can see how it should look? 4. When setting the layers should I set them to layer elevation or something else and when should I use each? I want to use stories, but just feel confused about them.
