  1. Yes you can. Attached is a simple Report that sorts by floor using the Space number... In the second report, the first floor is sorted numerically by Room Number and the second floor is sorted alphabetically by Room Name Hope this helps
  2. My first upgrade on my Mac was a 400K external floppy drive... My second upgrade was a 30 Meg hard drive for $300 US I was smokin' back then...
  3. try this...if you use "Use Part Line Styles", in the Attributes Palette, for the PEN STYLE, do NOT check Class Style or this will override the "Use Part Line Styles" scenario... Hope this helps Also, please include your machine/OS specs in your sig as it can help when answering questions Wes
  4. I've found if I create a new sheet and place a new border and title block then if I go to any other sheet and click in its title block and then go back to that newly created sheet, the Project info is now there - I then just need to enter sheet-specific data.... OR If I go to the Issue Manager and scroll around a bit then go back to that newly created sheet - same thing, Project data is there and then I just enter the sheet-specific stuff....
  5. When you create the hatch in the Hatch Editor, use WORLD units not Page
  6. Then there's the infamous "donut crop" - haven't quite found a use for it but hey...
  7. I usually start with a texture, duplicate it then edit it for color... Go to the Resource Browser, duplicate a texture, rename it then edit it - right click and select edit, under Shaders choose Plain Color, then pick your color and voila...you can then duplicate, rename and "recolor" to make more... Use cool names so your kids will enjoy themselves - play with some of the reflectivity options and other effects while you're there
  8. Go to Tools >> Organization >> Design Layers and find "Background" to see what's what, then edit the layer as required...
  9. The closest thing I could find to the stock number is perhaps the SKU - see attached...
  10. The bug report has been submitted...you are perfectly correct, it DID used to work! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Wes
  11. This may be a bug, we're checking into it right now and will submit a bug report if required...

Hey beanus, Try going to the Edit Marker List, select the marker style in question and change the Fill to None - my default is set to White which will produce the results you're getting
  13. Hi Balus, I believe you've discovered a bug...I'll submit it for you. Wes
  14. Is this what you mean? This one seems to work for me...
  15. 2009 ships with a myriad of molding profiles that can be extruded along path then a symbol created from your extrude to be applied as casing. And yes, a dwg import can be handled in a similar manner.
  16. OOps! Sorry...I left out the whole draw the polygon first...then Modify... Like Peter says...
  17. Maybe try Modify > Convert > Objects from Polyline and Choose Handrail (or Guardrail)
  18. Another method for modifying the path - Click on path, the path will be a NURBS curve, convert it to a polygon by going to Modify > Convert to Polygon, choose Hidden Line Rendering, this will change it to a group, ungroup it then Compose it. You now have a polygon that you can modify with the 2D Reshape tool. Once you're done modifying, convert it back to a NURBS curve and Voila....
  19. Here's an example using Jeff O's methodology and a quick report on the quantity of concrete in cubic yards. I can get it to report quantity of rebar as well but that's just a length function... Hope this helps
  20. Do you have any viewports created that the schedule will "see"? Maybe post up the file and let us take a look at what's up?
  21. I have several versions of the Farmhouse - the "main" or "root" file has all the data and many sheet layers all set up. Another set has been optimized for video production/demonstration purposes with several "Saved Views" which are used to control the various "chapters". If you e-mail me at wgardner@vectorworks.net, I can send you whatever file you think will be most helpful - or both. Wes
  22. Hey taoist... Sorry, I answered your other post regarding crown moldings - for that particular exercise I just drew something using the polygon tool, but yes, as John says, '09 ships with a bunch of profiles...
  23. taoist, VW '09 ships with many molding profiles that you can drag out of the Resource Browser and extrude away!
  24. You need to add a column in the worksheet and tell VW what data to put in there - see examples - in these examples =('Window'.'Location') goes in the database row. Hope this helps
  25. Here's a sample Title Block - nice fonts, huh...
