  1. This function needs more flexibility to be truly useful though I certainly applaud the effort in the first place. We need to be able to do the following at a minimum: 1) Rotate fixture symbols to be horizontal or vertical. 2) Adjust the amount of space between line items. 3) Text control-Font, size, color etc. It would also be nice to have an easy way to update it rather than reinserting a new one.
  2. I already checked for that. I get the same error in any workspace plus I do have the menu item in my custom workspace.
  3. Whenever I try and use Document Setup to set a drawing border and title block preference by selecting "As preference when sheets are created" and not choosing the option to create them now on a layer, I get an error. Error: _0 _118 - Menu cannot be found. Fit to Page Area If I also select the "To create a border now on layer:" then I do not get the error but it still does not make it a preference. It creates it on the selected layer but not when new sheets are created.
  4. It would be nice to be able to resize Popup Dialogue windows that display lists such as the Edit Record Format dialogue. There are several of them that force you to scroll even a short list. Greg
  5. It would be nice to have a preview option when using the Duplicate Array feature to see the results before you commit. Just like the Duplicate Along Path function has one. Greg
  6. I would very much like to see the ability to accurately measure both direct and indirect lighting illuminance levels. The math is already being done in Renderworks. We just need a way to access it. Being able to create photometric grids or individual points facing any direction would be very useful to Lighting Designers, MEPs and Architects. It would help us eliminate other software packages and reduce redundant modeling. Thanks, Greg
  7. When I choose a workspace no palettes appear at all. I have actually solved this problem. I think when VW updated itself to SP2 on install there was a problem with the workspace files. As I mentioned, some of the workspace files when opened in TextEdit were blank. I just copied the ones that were backed up in the "original" folder back into the root "workspaces" folder and restarted the app. Now everything is fine.
  8. I just installed VW 2008 Designer for the first time and noticed that about half of the workspaces that get installed are empty. This can not be right. I checked the workspaces folder and saw that I had two sets of files. One set in the workspaces folder and another in a sub folder called original. I checked all of these files with TextEdit and some were empty but even some of the ones that had info in the file would not load anything. How do I solve this? Greg
