Is it just me, or has the dual monitor situation actually gotten worse with VW 2020? Now every time I wake my computer from sleep I have to shuffle all the palettes back to my Cintiq. It's just absurd that such a basic function has remained broken for so long.

Other applications will open their windows in the last monitor used by that app, regardless of where the dock resides.

I'll add another voice to this request. It's really a pain to shuffle the window and palettes over every time I start up.

I've been using a Cintiq for years now and couldn't imagine going back to a mouse. Hand movement will depend a lot on palette placement your use of Wacom's customizable on-screen menus. I just upgraded from the old 21" model to their latest and greatest 32", and I'll admit that there's some adjustment, largely due to my aging eyes. For example, at its finest resolution I found the palettes and menus to be way too small. It's a ton a screen and to be honest I'd probably have been just as happy with the 27". Combined with a 27" iMac, this takes over the entirety of my oversized desk. When positioned as a monitor, I keep pushing it further away as it really is imposing.
But I'm slowly getting used to all of the optional menus and extra modifier keys that I didn't have before, and customizing those to reduce menu and keyboard use is making a difference. The newer models are really remarkably customizable.
I opted to get their flex arm this time instead of the ergo stand and it was a good choice. It makes it really easy to transition from a drawing tablet to a second display. An adjustable height desk makes a big difference as well, since you can lower it down to get the screen at just the right drawing height. And you might find too that having a desk without a middle drawer helps to get the screen kind of sitting in your lap.
Also, the current driver and firmware is a bit buggy, which I'm sure is part Mojave. But they just released a version yesterday that seems to have fixed the main issues I was having, so fingers crossed.

Vectorworks Architect 2019, MacOS Mojave
Just upgraded to 2019 and now all of these items have stopped working, but only when I have multiple tabs open. Now even when I revert to 2018 the problem is there. With a single project open they all work fine, open another tab and they stop, close either that tab or the original one and they work again. Tried it with multiple projects and with new documents - very repeatable.
Upgraded to Mojave a few days ago so it's possible that this is related to the OS update and I only just noticed it.

I have the older 21ux without touch. The bug must have to do with the proximity sensor for the pen, since it's each time I bring the pen near the monitor or move it away that I get a zoom.
Annoying, but since everything works fine with the 6.3.3 driver, I'm ok. So long as the bug eventually gets fixed, of course.
I'd like to upgrade to the new model, but I couldn't justify the expense this year. Hopefully they'll have those bugs worked out by the time I do. I've filed a bug report with them.

Just upgraded to VW 2012 from 2008 on OS X and I keep getting a dialog box that says "Do you want the application "Vectorworks 2012.app" to accept incoming network connections?"
The console entry for the dialog is this...
Vectorworks[1174]: Reachability Flag Status: -R -----l networkStatusForFlagsThe dialog comes up every 9 minutes on the dot - it goes away after a few seconds on its own, but it's annoying nonetheless. Clicking deny or allow does nothing to keep it from coming up again.
The thing is, I get the dialog regardless of whether I've set my firewall to automatically accept incoming connections for VW or not. Turning off the firewall gets rid of them, but I don't really want to do that.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a setting within VW that might prevent this? I've already turned off 'check for updates' and that doesn't have any affect. I'm guessing that this is an anti-piracy check for other copies on the local network.
Ideas?

Ahh, I've figured it out as well.
For anyone who has the same issue, it's the Wacom Tablet 6.3.4 driver that seems to be at fault. Version 6.3.3 works for me.
This is the sort of thing you get when you upgrade everything at once.

Were you able to find a fix? I'm having the same issue with my Cintiq and the only workaround I can figure out is to disable mouse scrolling. Otherwise, I get a zoom every time I move the pen. :mad:

Ray, I'm using an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. I found I was a bit limited in choice, since the G5 I have uses an AGP slot. Ideally, I'd move to a newer machine and a faster card, but one thing at a time. The ATI works fine, though, so I can't complain.

I'm using VW '08 with a dual monitor setup in OS X, using a Cintiq tablet as the 'drawing' monitor. I prefer to keep my cinema display as the main monitor, in which the menu is placed (don't get me started on OS X and the single menu bar...). Unfortunately, VW prefers to send dialogue boxes to the main monitor as opposed to the one in which the VW window is located, in my case the Cintiq. About a quarter of the dialogues will remember where they need to be if I move them, but the rest are pretty stubborn. So, is there a way to force VW to send all the dialogues to my Cintiq, or is there a way to get VW to remember the placement pref of all the dialogues?

My snarky rant for a Friday morning - for just how many more years are VW going to ignore the multiple monitor bug? I get so tired of shuffling randomly placed windows and pallets every time I restart. It can't be that difficult to remember where windows are supposed to be, since every other program on earth has been able to do it since 1984.
