  1. Wow. Love this. It must be a new feature from the new installer system?
  2. Sent a few minutes ago, zipped into an archive file. Thanks for looking.
  3. This just started… second time in an hour, after a restart. The file is not that large, 115 mB or so. Not that complex either. I did just update to SP5. 155 GB open space on internal SSD
  4. Gonna say yes, good idea ——— as long as there's a reliable way to interrupt any update for any reason.
  5. VW 2019 latest SP. Working from a viewport back to a DL the view changes to a DL view of the same POV as viewport camera. I choose Top/Plan several times, it draws a OGL screen briefly, then kicks me back to a view showing only info from one layer in Persp. Freaking out. Saved / shutdown / restarted. Open file: same state as above. Decide to record for posterity and in so doing, (spoiler alert) got the Top/Plan view restored. But I am still a bit shaken and have lost nearly an hour of labor over this. Hope the file's ok… Be sure to watch the View Dropdown Menu choice during this and compare to what you see onscreen. Screen Recording 2019-08-13 at 2.55.21 PM.mov UPDATE: Things are still strange in Graphics-land, see attached screenshot. I've been on Best Performance for a couple months now, without issue. LATEST: Welp, Unified View was off, perhaps that is the culprit?
  6. A p in the a there, but you got there and as importantly held the lamp for the rest of us.
  7. It appears there might be… I tried uploading a large-fish image the other day and could not, when reduced to about 2Mb, no probs to upload.
  8. They're ok, lots of janky elements to each, but they're not made for presentation, more like made for client comment and direction-pointing. Remember that VWX's render package is a subset of C4D, which means it's CPU-bound, not so much with the GPU rendering. Lots of info / opinion about that on this site.
  9. Yup, I do some in 3d, which I have found to be an effective communication tool. Because most of my clients are NFPs, there generally isn't $$ for me to generate a complete set of 3D docs for any given event, however, the renders of the type shown are incredibly useful in terms of delivering intent and checking client interest.
  10. OTG, as I have only duped in the RM, and so have never seen this behavior.
  11. @bbudzon Cool. Can you provide steps, tips in order execute video-as-gobo? Mind you, I don't yet use Vision, so hoping your tip works in RW as well… TiA, MichaelM
  12. For the shortcuts, here's a useful document…(oh, a-woops, so NOT a one-sheeter, sorry) vectorworks-keyboard-layout.pdf
  13. Truth be told, as I am an abysmal typist, these kinds of tools are a huge help.I also am a big fan of the straight forward 'number position' tick box in the spotlight tool position PIO. Savvy Sequencer comes into play (all too often) when positions are non-linear.
  14. I have to say, I just use Joshua Benghiat's Savvy Sequencer (https://www.benghiatlighting.com/software/products/savvy-sequencer), a vastly powerful tool which numbers any type of object, whether there's a record or not. One can, as one will, screw up the choices often enough, but once used a few times it's my go-to tool for all sequential numbering, whether Spotlight or chairs or circles and squares.
  15. In the Vectorworks Library, there are a couple folders (See pic attached) and I wonder what function they provide and I wonder if they or their contents can be deleted without deleterious effects to my install?
  16. The only solution workaround I have done is make each of those non-symbols into symbols then they're replaceable. A silly approach I know, but that's all I got.
  17. How often does the "Z" key work for you? I have about a 50% chance of that working. I attribute the issue to me not really understanding when to click after the "Z" key is depressed, a nd then the whole thing ends up taking three times longer than zooming in and clicking once.
  18. Happy news @Dave Donley, thank you for the update.
