  1. I see this too. It seems that having a bitmap image turned-on is causing mine. In this case I have an aerial photo on a separate design layer. When in 3D Open GL the rendering makes certain objects disappear and re-appear as I rotate and walk thru. Turn off the aerial photo DL, and back to normal.
  2. Quitting Safari alone did not work, needed to restart computer, but it is all working now. So no big deal, just a minor booger.
  3. This one seems to be resolved after messing with it a bit. THanks!
  4. Ran disk utility and it is still not holding. (both for boomerang pan and for X-ray)
  5. You got it. This is in a file that was converted from 2014. I look forward to this new feature next time I start a project from scratch.
  6. Interesting. The Option key duplicate is fine, but the B Xray is not sticking when held down. I will restart and see.
  7. VW2015 does not work on 10.6 at all. I am on OSX 10.9.4, I will update my signature.
  8. In 2015, the 3D preferences are set to use OpenGL as initial render mode, but it is still just going to wireframe. Any thoughts?
  9. Not working, normally hold space bar and you can pan, release space bar and you would go back to the tool you were using. This is referred to as boomerang But now in 2015 hitting the space bar it goes to boomerang for a split second, and even though still holding space bar it reverts instantly back to the original tool mode... Any fixes?
  10. Anyone have a solution to this? ..." instead of a wall with a sloping top, the top of the wall stays level but follows the height of whichever end I drag highest." I just got this in a file. What a pain to rebuild the entire file.
  11. Only occurs on one specific file, can't figure it out. Anyone seen this?
  12. Attached is a plug-in "Class Invisible" You can add this to your workspace and assign to context-click. Here is the script: { maarten '08 } PROCEDURE ClassInvisible; VAR h : HANDLE; ClassName : STRING; BEGIN h:=LSActLayer; ClassName:=GetClass(h); HideClass(ClassName); END; RUN(ClassInvisible);
  13. I really like the Grade Tool, but as an architect in the US, I work in Feet & Inches. But when doing grades I use standard Feet in decimal to the tenth. The Grade Tool uses the units defined under File>DocumentSettings>Units... Anyone have any idea of how I can use this tool, but get it to use tenths without changing my document unit settings?
  14. It seems like Symbols are faster in terms of rendering speed. The Link Wall Top to Layer dZ doesn't work within symbols...but what else might be a bigger concern one way or the other?
  15. I am working on an apartment complex, where many of the same units repeat. So I will draw that unit type just once, then either use DLVP's or Symbols of the units to add them together into a whole building. I understand how both methods work, but which one is better?
  16. Hi I have a file I have adopted that uses tons (hundreds) of Locks on objects. (Select object or group of objects, -> Modify -> Lock) It is a serious pain to work in this file, it requires going to Modify->Unlock over and over to the point of insanity. There are groups that are locked, so unlock that and find that everything inside that group is locked, and then do that hundreds of times. Does anyone know of a script or other method that might Unlock all objects in a single batch process?
  17. DWorks, can you post a VW file with an example? Thanks, g
  18. Easy to do. Create a viewport of a side view of the model. Now do a section viewport of that vp, cutting across to get a plan view.
  19. Pat's suggestion is critical. I hope this gets fixed soon. Importing a DWG should not be screwing up our dash style list.
  20. Just request a student copy of VW2010 for your home computer. You don't want to be working in VW08 anyways...can't imagine going backwards.
  21. Or Print to PDF First, then convert the PDF to Gray Scale after. This is not exactly Black & White, but the results will look closer to how it looked on screen (Yellow is lighter than Brown). I wish the Viewport Advanced Properties would have "Gray Scale Only," in addition to B&W Only. But easy enough to do it in the PDF.
  22. Just lengthen or move the section line to adjust where its center is. Update your section vp and see what happens.
  23. Don't want to debate, just want to know if anyone has a solution for importing Revit .rvt files. I have heard you can export a dwg from Revit, which could then be imported to VW, but alas, I do not own Revit, nor do I want to, so is there another way? An app for that?
  24. You should be able to control the vanishing point by adjusting the Section Line that you used to create the Section ViewPort. Go to the ViewPort you used to cut the section, or any other ViewPort with that Section Line instance set to visible, then enter Edit Annotations mode and move the Section Line. Go back to your Section ViewPort and look what happened. The Vanishing Point is at the center of that Section Line...
