Hi All, I've been trying different rendering modes but have been getting an Out of Memory error, so I'm looking for some help. The drawing is entirely drawn with VW 2010 Spotlight, using the ESP Vision Pre-Visualization symbols (which I normally use for 3D work and have never given me any problems). Other than the standard lighting instrument symbols, the drawing has some extrudes for staging elements, trusses drawn using Spotlights truss tool, and a couple VW light sources. I can use Renderworks, OpenGL, wireframe and artistic fine, but the various polygon modes and Hidden Line modes always hit the error message during the "Building List" step. The file is about 80MB. I've had the problem on all my machines, but my main drawing machine's specs are as follows: Windows 7 Pro 64bit Intel i5-2500k 3.3ghz Quad MSI P67 Mobo 16GB of 1600 DDR3 RAM Radeon 5770 w/ 1gb vRAM Hope someone can let me know whats going on here, thanks in advance for the help.

Nothing has been changed on my side of the file. I open it and go straight to the Label Legend to redo them now. And the font is Technical, which i also use on all my computers. Thanks

Hello all...I currently use Vectorworks 12.5, and I have been receiving some files Exported from version 2008 that have some really weird problems with the Label Legends. All the legends look ok until i try to update some info, and then they all disappear. When i go Edit The Layout in the Label Legend Manager, I see that all the fields have moved to screwy locations with screwy formats. For example, the COLOR field has moved 20 ft to the left of the symbol and 8 ft up, and is also 4 times as long as it needs to be, with both the left and right sides padded with white space. This happens to all the fields (although some of them don't have the white space added) and happens with every file i receive Exported with 2008. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

From what i can tell i'm doing everything correctly. When i try to use the fake keypad on my laptop, i can type symbols into the coordinate text boxes, like negative and asterisk, but as soon as i try to enter a number, it switches tools...

Hi, so i was wondering if someone could help me with a question. I'm kinda new to Vectorworks, and i am trying to just draw the outline of a parking lot. I am trying to do this with just the simple line tool, but i prefer to use coordinates when i draw. So i activate the line tool, press tab to see the data bar, and go to type in my coordinates, but as soon as i press a number key, Vectorworks selects a new tool, like all the numbers are keyboard shortcuts. I'm working on a laptop, so i am using the number keys on the main section on the keyboard, and when i trying to hold down my 'function' key and enter numbers with the fake keypad, nothing happens at all. Any help? any way to disable the keyboard shortcuts? Thanks for the help.

So i have another question... i drew my walkways by finding 6 points (im turning a PDF drawing of a building into something i can actually use) on my plot, the four corners of the walkways, plus 2 center points (since the walkways are curved) and then used to polyline tool to create the curved long sides of the walkways and the straight line tool to close it off at either end. Now, im exporting this into a real time rendering program (ESP Vision), so i extrude the walkways. But, because of the fact that i just made a box out of lines, i just get 4 extruded lines. How can i convert what i drew into a "surface" that i can extrude so that when rendered, it looks like a 4" high flat walkway (or close enough)? Thanks

So, i'm new to CAD in general, but i'm working on a drawing and everything is working fine...Drew everything i needed and it worked great for me. Now, i'm trying at add walkways as a last minute thing, but for some reason every time i try to draw a straight line with the line tool, i get a curvy line...what did i do and how do i fix it? Thanks.
