    Sorry- we were doing the process backwards- ie: we needed to be in the Linked layer prior to using the Layerlink command and selecting the original WGRef file. Still not sure what the grip boxes were but it worked!

    (New to VW) and found that the Workgroups have loaded in, but when trying to create a Layerlink to move th object into a particular location after unlocking the object doesn't appear in any layer, and I a can see a very small box with grips in the middle of nowhere. . Any suggestions?

    We worked out how to export the files in VW10 by using the DXF format (text) Version 14/Lt98/lt97 with all visible classes and boxes ticked. I hope this might help others- or maybe it was just our files.
