  1. Thanks to all for your input. There are some very creative ideas. Looks like 2009 is a must. Hopefully, VectorWorks will make this easier in future releases.
  2. Does anyone have any suggestions on creating corner windows or corner storefront/window-walls? I know other addons to VW can do this, but it should be a standard function. Thanks.
  3. I'm using VW2008. I'm trying to insert a 4" storefront into an 8" masonry wall. The storefront library doesn't cut an opening into the wall. Am I missing something? Any suggestions? Thank you.
  4. What is the best way to model a two story concrete tilt-up building? Should the wall be modeled the as one 2 story wall? Thanks for suggestions, Bill
  5. There are some very interesting ideas here. Can anyone share their files or graphic examples? Thank you.
  6. Does anyone have Wall Types Library using US standards to share? Thank you.
  7. I've just placed a door with a simple swing into a wall. The only thing that is displayed is the door jamb and the handles for the swing. What did I do?
  8. Thank you all. I'll give this a try.
  9. Thanks for the reply. Is anyone willing to share their wall styles library? I guess some "wall" styles don't have to be walls. I've seen where some have used dashed lines for footings and other wall linings. Any other suggestions?
  10. I worked with the VW CDs and the Step By Step Manual. I still had questions on basic processes. I then bought Jonathan Pickup's Architect Manual. I found Pickup's manual to be more practical and instructive. The CDs that come with the manual are like having a personal tutor. I highly recommend Pickup's Architect Manual.
  11. I'm new to VW. I'm still trying to understand the use of wall styles. Can wall styles be defined for different wall types, like existing, new and demolished walls? Can wall styles be created for foundation walls and footings? Thanks for your help. Bill
