  1. I've been messing with this all day; very frustrating. My SysAdmin advised me to remove Adobe Acrobat 7.0 completely. I did so and the problem was solved. He said that Acrobat causes him all sorts of problems.....
  2. I use Photoshop to translate image file types back and forth, but there are others that do it as well. Graphic Converter, for instance. I had good luck in 12.5 w/ PDFs. I've been fooling with it since my first post here this morning and I CAN import PDFs using the "Import Image File" command. That doesn't help my existing drawings which have a bunch of PDFs in them.... Nils
  3. I'm in the Architect workspace. It shows up in the menu, but when selected it gives me the error message: "Import PDF. The plug-in object file is missing. Check to make sure it is in your plug-ins folder." I looked back over my v12.5 plug-ins folder to see if there are any obvious differences between 12.5 and 2008. None that I can see. Any existing drawings that I have that had PDF's in them are unusable. I'm stumped. Nils
  4. It's in File>Import>Import PDF... My problem is that I have existing drawings (v 12.5) with imported PDFs and they don't even show up in 2008. Nils
  5. Just installed VW2008 SP3 on a MacBookPro (Intel). It tells me it's up to date. When I pull down the "Import" menu, the import DXF/DWG choice is greyed out and says after it, " ...menu ID -15 not available in VectorWorks." It has similar message for Single DXF/DWG (Menu ID -122) and for 3DS (menu ID -349). It also won't let me import PDFs. Says that I don't have the right plug-in. This one is not greyed out---gives me the error dialog after I've selected it. Any ideas? Cheers, Nils
  6. I'm in the same boat. When I select "Import Pdf" from the Import menu, it tells me I am missing the plugin.... Does anyone know how to fix this? Cheers, Nils
  7. Beautiful! Thanks! I've spent hours working on this...... Nils
  8. I've inserted a door in a wall using the door tool. The wall lines show up on the plan (looking like a threshold), so I go to object info pallette and try to change the settings. If I change dimensional data, I see the changes on the plan, but if I change the checkboxes having to do with "Plan Details" "Part Line Styles" and the like, I get nothing. No visible changes to the plan. The Obj Info pallette only seems to be partially working. When I click the Settings button and change parameters in the tabs, I get nothing. I'm fairly new to VW, but have not had this problem before. Are these parameters controlled (over-ridden) elsewhere? Has anyone else had such a problem? Cheers, Nils
