It's all objects, lines, etc... Everything highlights ok but after clicking nothing shows in the OIP. Incidentally, when I installed VW10 last evening the OIP was reading objects ok from the file I brought in from VW09.

Just installed VW10 and opened project from VW09. Clicking on objects do not show properties in the OIP. Double clicking on doors and windows does bring up up their editing property box but still nothing in the OIP. Checked Preferences and Settings. Thanks for help!

When I insert doors and windows into a wall, they register as an object in wall but only read as an opening in the wall. No door swing or leaf shows. Same with window. I set up with standard classes, checked visibilities etc. Am running VW09 and Snow Leopard. Thanks for any help!

Thanks, I have used the polyline tool before and worked fine. I was trying something "by the book". What I discovered was I had to change the surveyors meets and bounds for some of the segments ie: if the survey showed N 59 23 00 E, I would change to read S 59 23 00 W. It would then correctly draw that segment. What I'm unsure of is if the surveyor had this incorrectly noted or if it's something in the program.

I'm using a hardcopy survey drawing with meets and bounds to layout a site plan. Using the Property Line Tool, I have tried both clockwise and counterclockwise directions to setup the property. What happens is when adding a segment, instead of going in the direction it should be going it goes the opposite. Are the surveyors meets and bounds incorrect or do I have to make an adjustment in my input. THanks for any suggestions!

Beware newbie to Cad and VW question! First, can you put your building file on the site model to show a site/buiding section. How would you indicate a caisson/grade beam foundation system or retaining wall situation? Thanks in advance for suggestions. Vince

I imported sheet notes from Word into a text box onto a sheet layer. I had to than select the text body as an object and reformat for the column width and alignment. I could go back to text box to make revisions to the original text. Vince
