  1. Ok. MY VP's were not out of date, but the computer is getting old so maybe it's the hardware. Thanks
  2. What is up with PDF exports with VW 2025?? I am using the publish command, and all viewports are set to update before exporting, but some of the viewports are only half published, and some result in wacky colours and are partially complete. I have to export 5 or 6 times, and go to each viewport and update manually before it MIGHT work. It happens on multiple files, but not all the time. Anyone else having issues? Some resultant screenshots attached so you can see what I'm getting.
  3. I just got this letter from VW Canada yesterday. It seems that they have had enough of people staying on the service select program, so they're pushing us onto the subscription model. If I read between the lines, it looks like if I don't accept the subscription then the cost of the service select is going to skyrocket. Did anyone else receive this? What have you done?
  4. Finally, I've updated to Update 6, and this is now working. Sort of. Many times, but not all, if you publish multiple saved views of design layers to DXF, it doesn't import properly to my CNC software. But if you export each saved view individually with the same settings, it works. Better than nothing. There is also something else odd with saved views. If you try to save a view with the name '1', it says that name is already in use. However there is no saved view with the number '1'. There is however a design layer named '1', but it used to accept the same names for either a saved view or design layer. It seems to only have a problem with the number '1'. I can have a '2' design layer, and a '2' saved view, no problem.
  5. Ok. I wait impatiently! This having to go back and forth between versions is killing me. I regret starting some of my projects in 2025!
  6. Does anyone have any insight into the release date for Update 6?
  7. ^^ THIS! Once I turned on "displays have separate spaces", everything was fine. I totally forgot, but I turned that off a few days ago when my dock kept shifting over to my second screen when I tried to grab the lower scroll bar in Preview (and I only keep trying to grab the lower scroll bar because Apple decided we don't need the hand for panning anymore, but that's for another rant). Odd that it took a few days for the system to react to the change, but grateful this has been resolved. But also frustrating that something so dumb can completely lockup a computer. Anyway, thanks again to everyone that replied trying to help.
  8. @Wai Kin T., thanks for posting that thread. Misery loves company, I’m glad I’m not the only one! I’ll try the spaces setting, and report back. So strange this just started out of the blue. Good for years, then no good. Sometimes I hate computers….
  9. It just doesn't seem like a memory problem. I've been running the computer this way for 2+ years, no issue. Then on Friday it was like a switch flipped, laggy response. Dock icons judder in the up/down movement when opening. Can't type an email or anything into the calculator unless the mouse is moving. Then I figured out that it only happens when VW is open, and a second monitor is running. I could see it if I just did an upgrade or something, but I didn't. I didn't change anything. If it was memory, you would think if I closed down everything except VW, with no file open, there would be enough memory to type something into the calculator. Here is an image of the memory situation, with mail, VW, Safari, preview, and Excel open. I don't usually have more than a couple Safari tabs open.
  10. I’ll do this asap and post up. Thanks for the replies.
  11. No, there were no recent changes. It’s always run fine, for a couple years, until it didn’t. When it started I was using Excel, and noticed the slowdown. It was later I figured out it was VW that was involved.
  12. I have a weird issue that just started randomly, 2 days ago. My computer is an M1 MacBook Pro, running both VW2024 and 2025 with InteriorCAD. The issue is that the computer is essentially frozen, unless the mouse is moving. As an example, trying to use the calculator, pressing the number 6 on the keyboard will result in nothing, until you touch the mouse. Then the 6 gets input into the calculator. Try typing in an email, or Safari, same behaviour. BUT - this only happens when Vectorworks is open. Either 2024 or 2025, doesn't matter. Close VW and the computer is totally fine. I've tried a different mouse, but no change. Everything is up-to-date. And of course I've done a complete shut-down, restarted several times, tried the Apple diagnostics, run repair on Vectorworks. Basically everything short of re-installing VW which is a complete pain. And ideas? **EDIT: a bit more information - I use 2 external 27" 4K monitors connected via USB-C cables. If I disconnect one monitor (doesn't matter which one), then things go back to normal). Macbook Pro M1 Pro 16GB, Sequoia 15.5
  13. @Nina Ivanova That's great news. Thank you for the update!
  14. Hi @Nina Ivanova. I just updated to 2025.4.1 and the DXF export is sadly not working. Do you have any idea on timeline for the changes to the line endings to be fixed? Thanks
  15. Files sent. Thank you.
  16. Indeed, the software I am using is called Biesseworks, and comes prepackaged with the machine. It was outdated in 2011 when I purchased it, and runs on Windows XP. Yes, you read that correctly. There is zero incentive for Biesse to investigate why one version of a CAD programs' DXF export isn't working, especially when it works with ALL other versions of Vectorworks. There is something in 2025 that changed, it's not a Biesseworks issue. That said, I will send a sample file to them today to see what they say. We are going back to 2024 for now, and if the problem persists through 2025 and into 2026 then we will look at another program to handle the CNC export. Appreciate all the responses so far.
  17. Ok so I imported a file into the Autodesk viewer. It looks fine.
  18. Not sure. I'll try tonight or tomorrow. But I do know that if I import the DXF back into Vectorworks, it's fine.
  19. Glad I'm not the only one. But frustrating. I feel like I've tried everything to no avail. There is something VW did with the DXF export that is problematic. I will try to submit a bug report and see what happens.
  20. I've definitely been very careful in my settings selections, and I've tried all the variation in AutoCAD versions. I even tried installing VW2024, and it works fine there. There is just something about 2025 that my CNC software doesn't like. I think I'm going to try to reinstall 2025 to see if that changes anything. But it's a real pain because I decided on this version that I wouldn't migrate everything over from 2023. I was trying to make it a clean start as I have some duplicate entries of things in 2023 that happened when the migration manager failed a few times for that upgrade. There's always something....
  21. Not sure if this is the right place to add a wish item for InteriorCAD, but here goes: Please get rid of the update button on the InteriorCAD palette. It's redundant. When you make changes to a cabinet in the cabinet editor, and then press "OK" to accept those changes, the cabinet should update. That's it. That's my wish. As it is now, after you press "OK", your changes may, or may not, take effect. It's a 50/50 crap-shoot. And if it doesn't update you have to press "update" one or multiple times to get the cabinet to change. It's been this way from at least 2016 as I recall.
  22. I just posted this in the Discord group, but thought I would post here to bring more attention to this. From Discord: Update button. Has anyone wondered why there is an update button on the interiorcad palette? Years ago, there was a problem with "zombie cabinets". Then the update button appeared so you didn't have to go into the cabinet editor to force it to update. Now in version 2025 that I've just installed, I was REALLY hoping that stupid update button was gone. But alas, it's still there, and I have to use it CONSTANTLY to update my changes (mostly for door gaps that I adjust all the time whether there is a flush scribe/filler, or set back). Just a bit of a rant, but seriously, let's get on with fixing it. If you press OK after a change, make the change. Don't force me to repeatedly update the cabinet. Just had to update a cabinet 4 times before the change took effect.
  23. Does anyone know what might have changed with respect to DXF exports between version 2023 to 2025? I recently upgraded to 2025, but now when I export to DXF my CNC machine will not import the geometry. There is something about the export file that it doesn't like, but I can't figure it out. I have tried a million different variations and settings, but no go. If I import the DXF file back into Vectorworks, the geometry is there, so it exports just fine, there is some setting, somewhere that is blocking the CNC program from reading the file. Thanks in advance for any help.
  24. Whew. This was driving me crazy. Thanks for the help @Pat Stanford
