We have an HP DesignJet 800ps. Using os X v11. Our line weights seem to be very light. i.e. black (darkest) cyan (very light). when printing we select "turn of color" from the print menu. (this seems to not matter, color or b&w). When turning on the black and white (from file menu) the print is draker but you lose the line weights. Yes Resource Browser>Files&Folders>VW11file>Worksheets>Doors If i open the this file i see my door schdule. thanks for all your help. chris

how/way does this work... under the resource browser (within the file) i went to the worksheet changed door to doors.. what does this mean and how does it work? will this affect my door schdule? if so how can i fix it? thanks chris

this is an odd question. i have one VW11 file that will not let me use the door tool in the object tool bar. All the other tools work in the object tool bar. can any explain this.... thanks chris

In my resource brower my FAVORITE has turned grey. Meaning i can't access my vectorworks default resources. can anyone help. thanks chris

We are running VW 11. For some reason after we add a tag to a window or door we cannot change the size of the tag in the object info. No no matter what number you put into the scale box the tag always stays the same. Anythoughts. thanks chris

Can you take a vectorscript 9.5 or 10 and convert it to vectorscript 11? If so, how? thanks chris

help...recently i recieved a dwg file from autocad 2005. when importing into vw 10.3.xxx. my door openings dimension and scale to 36'-0" in width. they should be 3'-0". the file has been converted to auto 2000 file. what do i need to do to fix this problem. help... chris

Thanks for your help. The problem i'm still having is this. I have created a detial in drwg A. (as recommend above / mannual). I quick vectorworks and restart the aplication select File> create blank documnet or an existing drwg. Go to my resource window and look for the detial. I can't find it. Where does the detial go? If I open drwg A (the drawing the detail was created in) then i can see it. Do I need create some kind of remove subfolder. i hope i'm not makeing harder than what it needs to be. we have a small library of details. to access our library we open past projects and do the old copy and paste. we currently are using v 10 with v 11 on the way. How can we create a library of details that sit in our resource window, which can be used for any drawing/project? Do we need to worry about scale? Thanks for the help. chris

Hello, i'm trying to modify my 00_Arch_Sheets file. which i can do, but it only effects Arch B sheet size. How do i get it work for all Arch sheet sizes. More about the the file: when i open the file, 00_Arch_Sheet i see two layers with two sheets Layers Catalog Page layer 1 Sheets Sel Nonplot Unzero Arch B horizontal and Arch A vertical. Is this correct? Help Thanks Chris

martin, our small firm (3 computers) just purchased the hp 500ps. It looks great but we were falsely adviced. HP sales said it would work but the tech dudes tell us there is NO support for os X. Are you having any luck with microspots X-rip. We are thinking about sending it back. The designjet 800 is to much $$. thanks chris

i'm having a problem with VW running sluggish as more information gets added to the file. What are my options. i'm running both mac(os 10.2 the lastes and seems to faster than my windows machine) and windows 2000. both machines are greater than 600 mhz and my ram is greater than 512mb in both. We are looking to buy a plotter for our mac system. our os is 9.0.1 and we are using vw9.0. Do we need mac plot software. What plotter is working out best. I'm also in the market for a print server. I'm trying to see what everyone is using and the most stable. your imput is much better than the write ups. My firm is getting ready to purchase a couple new computers, macs. Apple is preinstalling os X on all computers. Is anyone using os X and vectorworks v9.0. If so how is it preforming and more. i have been doing some troubleing shooting myself and have discovered, when opening a v8.5.2 file into v9 is when i have my printing problems; arrow heads get all crazy, text is a mess along with hatching. I have recently started a couple of new projects in v9 and the printing seems to be doing fine. I'm using the epson 1520 printer with a g4 mac. does anyone know if vectorworks is ready for osX? i'm not sure if i am....... I just want to use my dual processors.....

I see we all are having some problems with V9...I also have been exporting my files back to 8.5.2 to print. Does anyone know if Nemetschek is working on these problems.

Is anyone having problems with v.9.0 and printing or just v.9.0 in general.
