Error message keeps appearing as per screenshot attached. It is driving me mad as it keeps popping on to the screen every minute and I have to stop working to click ok. Can anyone help me to find the source of this. It started to happen after I added the Shoot plant database to my resource browser btw, so may be linked to this? Or may not.

It appears, through help from Alan at VSS (Computers unlimited) that the Plant Code was missing from the Database Header, once inserted the shoot plant codes appear. Am I the only person to have come across this bug?

I have imported the shoot plant list into my drawing. This contains all correct plant data incl shoot codes. However the export file which is automatically created has the plant codes, rendering it useless. Any ideas?

Whatever I seem to do when I insert a title block through the Sheet Border tool it appears only as a x.Title blocks appear correctly on other layers of the same doc, so it seems as though as must have some setting wrong. Any ideas anyone?

Jim Thank you for your reply. Yes in was installed as part of a migration. I have now completely uninstalled as per instruction s on the VW website and tried three times to do a full re-install, however this has failed every time, as listed in an installer log, see blleow. Many of my tool icons are missing and are replaced with red crosses. How can I replace these with the proper icons?

I can't remember how to add a white background colour to my plant tags - so that they show up against any background lines etc. I have tried using the Attributes palette but it has no effect. Can anyone re-enlighten me please?

I am considering upgrading to VW2014. Can I import all my existing 2010 resources to use in the new version. I do hope so!

Is it just me or is the Place Plant tool very buggy in VW 2010? I have several plant symbols in which the plant centre seems to be way off the actual symbol. I have done a 2d edit and corrected the X and Y loci to 0 and 0, to no avail. (see screenshots) Perhaps these are just corrupted symbols and I should delete and start again? I am having continuing problems with Plants for several years. Another issue is frequent crashing when I 2D edit some plant symbols - I have learnt to save before doing this, but it it serious pain. Will an upgrade to 2014 stop this happening I wonder/hope?

Michael That's odd, I just tried it and VW crashed when I tried to edit the symbol??? Must be more strange and corrupted things going wrong. I hope it can be sorted soon as I need to get a planting plan completed.

I have now tried running the script file as suggested by JimW. I recognised one problem plant but otherwise made no difference. Here is a small test file with one of the problem plants.

Further to last post,I opened an existing file and tried to edit one of the plants causing problems before and VW crashed immediately. Seems like some of my saved plant symbols may have got corrupted possibly?

VW10 has started to crash when I try to duplicate a plant. Taking advice from elsewhere on this forum, I reset all plugins and all my plant labels now read -ID. Help!

I have a custom title block saved in Resource Browser. I have moved to a new address, so now need to modify this title block to change my address, phone number etc. This does not seem to be as straightforward as I had hoped. Help!

Am having frequent crashes with VW 2010, so thought it might be a good idea to remove and re-install. Can I do this safe in the knowledge that all my data files, resources folder etc will be left intact? Or should I back these up first?

Recurring problem/bug when editing 2D plant symbols: all works fine until I Exit when VW crashed and has to be restarted, happens approx 50% of the time. Everything else seems to work fine, no crashing. This is surely a bug that should have been resolved by now. Maybe it's my Mac, but I don't think so, all other software works fine. Can someone, anyone, lead me to a cure? I hope so as it's driving my mad. I have posted on this before, with no solution, so hopefully I will get somewhere this time!
