  1. I have been using the plug-in object doors that come with Vectorworks. But when I switch to the RCP sheet, the door part of the plug-in remains visible. I need to be able to turn the door off but still see the header in the reflected ceiling plan. Is there a way to do this, or must I create my own symbol? Why would anyone want to see the door in the RCP - that is so non-standard for architectural drawings. PLEASE HELP!
  2. Our office designs many recording studios which require double and triple walls for acoustical purposes. These walls are often much more complex than can be created with the Wall Types dialog box. One option is for us to create parallel walls, but then any doors only break one of those walls. We have used wall openings to break the other walls, but this is messy, and it is difficult to get the jamb to look correct. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
  3. I also am curious about customizing the classes and layers of Vectorworks Architect. My firm uses two different CAD programs and would like the file structures to be similar. We are trying to set up our office CAD standards. We are all relatively new to Vectorworks, so everything is an experiment. We've tried renaming the classes as defined by the Set-up Assistant, but this inhibits the use of the Task Manager, and most likely changes relationships between classes/layers/sheets. We need to be able to add sheet types such as lower and upper slab/trough plans as well as add classes and layers that are specific to our work with sound studios. Your office has gotten further in your experiments than we have, so I look forward to whatever replies are made to your topic.
