  1. from your comp specs it looks that you have the latest mac:) An 800MHz processor is much slower than a couple of secs. The request is not just because of the speed though. It also has to do with storing/backing up, the knowledge of the person regarding unstuffing documents on the receiving end... the list goes on. file sizes are very bloated and any method the developers use to reduce them and make them more portable would definitely (in my view) be a welcome enhancement:)
  2. This is my second post and second complaint:) I wish that mcd document sizes were not as large as they are. Comparing them to dwg they are sometimes 10 times larger or more. A dirty solution might be that a zip compression/uncompression algorithm be used when saving/opening files. This of course would not be ideal as it wold probably affect the performance. The fact remains that mcd documents are a nightmare to post to other users. Since the vw viewer, mcd format has become a portable one except it does not function to (my) expectations considering that some documents are well over 40Mbs making them impossible to send by email.
  3. As not all vw users are english or even use a latin alphabet, unicode support is no longer a wish but a necessity. For international users, vectorworks coexistence on mac and pc platforms is far from seamless because of the luck of unicode support. For mac users there is the additional problem of exporting/importing to/from dwg, dxf etc. Non latin texts are just not legible. macOSX+ supports unicode since its first release why not vectorworks?
