  1. Thank you. It was the Interactive Scaling. Weird that all of a sudden that was disabled.
  2. I am using version 2022. In the past, I have been able to edit where various label legend fields are located individually without having to use the Label Legend Manager. For some reason, I no longer seem to be able to do that. Is this no longer a feature or am I missing something? Thanks.
  3. Now, it won't show the Active Label Legend in the key. This is getting very annoying.
  4. I just did a new plot and it is still doing it. The channel order is: 53, 52, 51, 14, 16, 13, 15, 30, 12, 11, 10, 32, 42,41, 33, 34, 35, 55, 54, 56, 23, 26, 29, 28, 25, 22, 27, 24, 21, 9, 6, 3, 8, 5, 2, 7, 4, 1
  5. Has anyone experienced VW 2013 not sorting channels properly? I have the most recent version of the software. I cannot figure out what basis it is sorting. Also, the Vectorworks Help cannot be accessed.
  6. I am getting the following error message when I try to open the Help menu: The VW Help folder may be missing or contain invalid data. Please contact Technical Support for assistance." Any recommendations?
  7. Thank you. Can you either update or delete the following link, which says it is not. Thanks. http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/737/Aladdin+HASP+License+Manager+%28HaspLM%29
  8. I am using Vectorworks 2009 in a lab with 9 computers networked together. Is there still an incompatibility with Snow Leopard on the server computer as I am upgrading the computers in our lab and need to know if I need to keep one of the older ones running OS 10.5.x
  9. I feel like an idiot. In desperation, I grabbed all the lights and "Refreshed Instruments." Then redid Generate Paperwork and voila, the channels are in the right order.
  10. A new problem I have never had before. After I generate the paperwork, the Channel Hookup is NOT in numerical order. I cannot figure out just how it decided to order it, but I cannot find any way to quickly resort and the manual is very mum on the subject. Any ideas? Thanks. M. Sachs Tulane University
  11. Thanks. I came to that conclusion.
  12. I work in a black box theatre with a pipe grid we have designated with numbers one direction and letters the other. Whenever I try to create a focus point that has either the same number or letter as a grid pipe, it tells me that name is in use. Is there a way around this? M. Sachs Tulane University
  13. Is there another way to get to a lighting instruments properties other than control-clicking it?

What do you mean, show up. I pick an instrument, click edit, go to Light Information, and in gobo 1 go to Get Resource and select a gobo. I know I have gotten this to work before. I am sure it is some small thing I am missing or setting that is wrong. Sorry, long day. Yes, these gobos show up. Okay, now I am really confused. Now they are working on my file. Ghosts.

50? ETC Source 4 with a folliage gobo. The pipe does not have a texture. While not indicate, I have also included a floor. You used to have to have one so I add one out of habit. An color works. If I put a color such as R35, the light is pink. But no matter what setting or adjustment I make, I cannot get the gobo to appear.

I have done all that. In fact, just to see what was going on, I created a document with just one pipe, two lights, a few platforms. I have gone through step by step and now gobo. It is very frustrating. I am confused as to why 2009 is seeing an old file and creating gobo projectors if that is not how 2009 works now. At any rate, this is very frustrating.

I recently opened an old document and noticed that the instruments with gobos all have gobo projectors and a light source. When I tried to add gobos to a nw document, no matter what I do, I cannot get the gobo projectors to appear. I have gone into a light, gone to edit and specified a gobo for it. I have set the custom rendering settings but no matter what I see to do, no gobo projector. I have followed the manual, step by step, and no luck. I thought in version 2009 that the gobo projector tool was no longer there so I am at a loss what to do next.
  18. It's the 3D walls. I have tried exporting the file as a 3ds file and it sort of works but not very satisfyingly.
  19. I get the following message when I try to open a document created in version 2008. "Some of the objects could not be regenerated. This file may have solids that have failed to regenerate. You may not be able to perform further operations on these objects. You may be able to regenerate them successfully by editing them." What gives? In all the previous iterations of this software I have never had a problem updating a file. Is there anything I can do in 2008 to make sure that the 2009 file converts correctly? M. Sachs
  20. Have checked that and have also tried the above suggestion of toggling on and off the showdata box.
  21. Actually, the color works, it's still not giving me a gobo. The instrument is a Source Four from the Resource Browser, nothing is blocking anything, and still no luck. It's getting frustrating.
  22. Tried it. Still no luck. Any other suggestions?
  23. I am using VW2008 and am having no luck visualizing gobos. I have set all the custom renderworks settings, the light is on and shadows are checked in the visualization palette, and nothing. I get the light to be whatever color gel I assign but no gobo. The pipe and instrument have 2D and 3D attributes and the pipe, instrument and focus point are all in the same layer and class, as is the floor. Any suggestions.
  24. For some reason, I can no longer move the individual components in the label legend. When I click on one, I never get that sort of 45? indicator that allows you to move it.

Finally found the problem. Seems there is a new "Visualization" palette and you mus turn the light on there. Unfortunately, there is no mention of it in the gobo chapter of the Spotlight help file.
