  1. 2015 ran quite well on my 2007 iMac and my newer Retina iMac PDF management also great on old iMac and Retina 2016 not so much iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048 MB
  2. I'm running most current version of VW16 on a 27in iMac/El Capitan with 24gigs of ram and am wondering how it could be running so sluggishly? I've never had any version of VW run like this. Most noticeable on refresh rate when moving doc around or zooming. Also, I am used to printing to PDF via the print dialogue - a fairly quick and simple deal - but now... not so much. Takes a while to happen and the files are gigantic! I've tried exporting to pdf, and same thing. I have also tried reducing file size via Preview, the file are still very large. They take a long time to open/render within Preview. Final result means mailing them to clients result in complaints cos they are too large. Anyone else have these problems?
  3. Recently up'd to 2014. All is well so far except I am having crazy font issues. I use Spotlight and here's what happens: Text in lable legends will be alright and then inexplicably become invisible but show the text bounding box to be impossibly wide Using the text tool will show text bounding box, but when I type - nothing there. Or - Type into text boundary and all is OK until I hit "Enter" and then inviso text with impossibly wide bounding box. Attempting to edit is impossible cos you can't see anything. (Not necessary - it's all there anyway. Just can't see it). Happens with any font any size any style. If I close the doc and re-open, all is well for a while and then it happens again. crazy and I hate it
  4. Is it possible to soften the edges of the light projected on a surface? ie: If I place a symbol using the inst insertion tool, and then tik the "Light On" box in the info pallet, the symbol will now project it's light to wherever I place a focus point, but all of these have a hard edge. A Studio Beam or a Colorblast, for example, is a soft edge light, yet the projected light in renderings is hard. Can I change/fix this?
