Hello, Could someone give me some hints on how to use resedit on mac to create *.rsr picture files to use in dialogs. I'm scripting on windows and have no idea on what is really this resedit. Thanks for your help. Francesco

I use classes to switch them off/on in VW, but I'll try your method melting classes and colours. Great idea.About c4d : I use SE version 5...what is better in version 7 ? I tried the demo and I feel it's slower. Hello Here's my receipt. I'm sure you'll find yours. 1. Draw 3d architecturals in VW2. Define classes for different textures (average : 20 classes).3. Export in dxf 12 4. Open the file with cinema 4D5. Textures, cameras, lights in Cinema 4d6. 3ds Objects (furniture, trees, vehicles)added directly in cinema 4d because it's at least one billion times easier to manipulate 3ds files than to convert them in dxf to be able to use the same objects in VW. I think the most important future step for VectorWorks is the ability to import/export 3ds and/or c4d files.7. Render, export to gif, print.8. Clients are hooked. Hope it helps. Francesco

Hello all It seems only one person on the VW mailing-list had the same problem. Maybe more nswers here... Here's the prob.:VW 902/Win2k (french Belgian UPG for 9.5 not yet there)When a palette is accidently pushed to the top of the screen, it remains hooked there with no way to drag it back elsewhere.Sometimes quitting VW and restarting make it float again, sometimes there's to enter the workspace editor, create a 'copy of this palette', quit workspace editor, drag the new palette to a location that is far from the top border, re-enter the workspace editor and delete the first palette.With some training this takes one or two minutes. Does somebody at NNA know abaout this; is it fixed in 9.5.x ? Thank you.Best regards Francesco.

Hello, here are some : 1. Import/Export DXF/DWG with dimensions as dimensions and not groups of lines+text.2. Hatches : real hatch system vs groups of lines.3. Possibility to fill 2d closed entities with scalable photographic textures.4. export/import in *c4d format keeping volumes as volumes.5. Freeing PC users of this *rsr files by some VW specific cross-platform file type.6. Vectorscript editor allowing colours and different fonts + find/replace.7. A SDK documentation as the one coming with vectorscript.... what about Visual Basic for SDK ? Xcuse me to ask so much, but your software is so good that we want the best. 8. Not to forget : you have announced Dutch version of VW9 for Belgium. Just to say that finally they have released the belgian french version too. Regards. Francesco.

hello, I tried the list but there wasn't an answer. This has happened : I didn't close a group and moved the page . everyhing on the drawing has disappeared and I don't find the way to come back. Many thanks, Caleb. OK. Here in Belgium, they use to sell 3 keyed licences (Minicad 7 architecture). As I have understood, now we got more choice : there are 2 keyed VW licences available. Anyway, and I agree with the deal even if it would have been best to tell us about before choosing multiple licences, there's a way to UPg only one. You just give back two others. This is the point I cannot understand, that's all. I made the choice to trust this software for my (little) office and now we discover that administrative bug. About Minicad itself, I do believe it's the best an architect can dream of (I think there are about 6 thousand licences by here). So good afternoon. Regards. Francesco

We're using C4D too. Great soft. Importing from minicad is nearly right, but projects have to be filtered with dxf export. As it seems, maxon has joined NNA family. Maybe can we hope some way to convert mcd towards C4d ? Francesco
