    .NET PLATFORM

It would be interesting, indeed, to know if SDK and the.net platform are to be compatible. Maybe an answer, NNA ? Thanks Francesco
  2. Hello, there's something between VW and Revit : BOA (Type BOA research on google).
  3. Hello, I'd like NNA to make available a demo version on line. Here in Europe, if we have luck, first upgrades to VW 10 will be released in 01/2003 (France). I downloaded the brasilian version to take a look, but it's in brasilian... thanks. Francesco
  4. What is not comfortable, while stretching for instance, is that you have to validate x and y fields even if one of them is left to zero. If zero was the default there would be less gymnastic between the keyboard and the mouse. Just my opinion. Regards. Francesco
  5. The localized french and belgian versions have a menu that allows you to create automatically hatches from repetitive patterns. Easy : you catch one of the billion freeware acad patterns on the internet and build your own hatches in vw with this plug-in. I thnk there's this kind of tool on the vectordepot market. Let's hope for an international full-featured vectorworks. Francesco
  6. Or a melting of both acad and illustrator + the VW touch...
  7. Hello, I don't know if this will help you. I phoned to Design Express yesterday. They told me that, and it's understandable, they need to translate things . French version will be ready,as it seems, next month (take a look at cesyam.fr). Maybe you can try to get some british dongled version. Regards. Francesco
  8. No,no..they write 'export from Vectorworks to Artlantis and C4d'. I must say that our european versions are quite different from others. Dealers here add many interseting C++ home-made plugins. The dark side is that Belgian, French, Italian and German versions are different between them. Is it so difficult to take the best from each version and make a unique Vectorworks ? Francesco
  9. Hello Yes but the *.3ds files are something as a standard in 3D. And they are a lot smaller then dxf or dwg. The same for *.c4d. Francesco.
  10. What about demos in Europe ? Francesco
  11. Hello Lett, Katie is doing a hard job answerring all our (sometimes stupid) questions everyday. It's just that I worked with autocad some years ago and I know what the command 'stretch' means in this case. Maybe not everybody is an ex-acadian. Best regards Francesco
  12. Sure. Same for groups. But if there are groups and/or symbols within the selection, they're not stretched. Regards Francesco
  13. Hello Select hat you want to stretch Pick the reshape poly tool Drag a rectangle around what you want to stretsch Drag to where you want If you need more accuracy, enter x and y values with 'tab'. Validate even zeos. It's exactly a stretch tool as in acad. Doesn't work with groups and symbols. I don't know for 3d. Regards. Francesco
  14. Ouch...Sorry to be so late. Thanks for suggestions. If someone wants to go on with these basic scripts for automatic levels, they are here : http://homeusers.brutele.be/fbellazecca/Niv.zip The tool places once one reference pio and after level symbols with y coordinates from the ref.Works well at 1:50 scale. Regards.
  15. Many thanks for all your answers.I want to use resedit to create picture resources for custom dialogs in vectorscript. Regards Francesco
  16. Hello all I'm new to the macintosh and I must say it's not exactly the same as windows. I am unable to launch resedit, even to find it. Is it part of the OS (I think it must be OS 9 or something) or is it a addon product ?Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance. Francesco.
  17. Exactly, Alexandre.Anyway, this will only work if belonging to a vsm or vst, not vso. Francesco
  18. Ouch..please excuse my bad english and thank you. But no, I don't think cos the deal is this one : one pio is taken as a reference (x,y) by others to evaluate their own coordinates. If you move them all you're right. But if you move only the reference, others don't move so there's to call a regeneration of all pios. This can be done with a menu or tool plugin but it doesn't work, even with the same code, something as setclass(getclass) as far as I recall, from within another pio. Regards Francesco
  19. I]Hopefully we will have a better solution for this type of problem in a future version of VectorWorks.[/i] I also noticed that making a pio regenerate another one is not possible. I wrote a set of 2d level pio : the first one is a tool that places a reference pio named 'zero' and then calls level plugin objects referring to this zero to retrieve their own y coordinates. The dark side is that when 'zero' is moved, plug-in objects don't regenerate themselves unless a regenerating menu is run. Maybe for VS 10 ? Regards Francesco
  20. Hello if you add a 'checkbox' parameter with 'Only_2d' as label or anything and your 3d definition inside the code is within a subroutine called only if your checkbox is false(...)If (POnly_2d = False) Then Subroutine_3d;(...)I think it works Francesco
  21. There is work going on to do a C4D translator, I don't know if it is out of the planning stages yet, but last I heard it would be an addition to C4D or a standalone converter. Great news.. thank you !Francesco
  22. Hello I asked this once and someone gave me an answer but I can't retrieve it .. or maybe was it on the mailing list. So, here it is : I'd like to transfer (diskette or e-mail) my PC workspace (*ovl file) on a mac so I don't have to set it all once again. I cannot test here cos the Mac is in another office. Is there something special to do ? Many thanks Francesco
  23. The best answer could be a GOOD exporter for Cinema 4d. I hope there's someone who could help me. Or maybe some RenderWorks based on the C4D engine : both are Nemetschek products. Francesco
  24. Many thanks to both of you. Francesco
