Thanks for the link. I read the post. Unfortunately that gives not the answer to my solution. Nothing is overclocked.. It is stable and 128 of RAM.

I work with a viewport where all stories are linked. When I put a part off it works. the file size gets about 110mb.

 

And happens on a other pc and laptop the same too. Both rtx gc

As an office we do a lot of urban design. Massing model is a tool we use a lot. quick to alter and to calculate.

 

Big problem is massing models doesn't read holes (courtyards), it closes up. Hope this can be fixed. Would be a big saver.

 

There are also some thing that the tool could make the tool better.

-alternative plinth height.

-floors to layer conversion

-cantilevers

-solid to massing model.

Can you change objects that where drawn in screen plane3 to object that reacts as layer plane?

I had drawn in plan objects in screen mode (plots). Now when I orbit my drawing those orbites stay in screen mode and doesn't rotate with the rest.

If I export or print pdf with bold text, the bold text isn't bold anymore. If I print directly it's ok and if i copy from vectorworks to indesign and then print or export pdf it is also ok. What can be the problem. I use version 2009.

Found the toggle number '33'.

Often I need an angled end cap for a wall. Normally i draw another wall with the needed angle and T-joine the wall, after that I delete the angled wall so it leaves an angled end cap. This is when auto join is off in the preferences, with 'on' the wall repairs itself to a straight wall. But with drawing it is handy to have auto join on. Can i make a toggle of it instead of going continu to the preferences.

Or is there another way for an angled end cap

Lately, we do alot of projects in China and Russia.

My problem are the characters. If I copy past it it often works. Only if I do it in the data slot, question marks appear instead of the characters.

More people have the problem, more important, is there a sollution.

I often get cad drawing with elements like parkings, trees etc. in the same layer and are not symbols.

You have alot of selection ways, like color, class line type and other types. Is there also a way to select on objects with same area or area between, like 12,1m2 and 12,8m2.

There is a lot of simple thing that can beeen improven in the sheetlayers.

Like When adding or delating the quantity of Pages, the flexebility of putting the extra befor or after the pages instead of always the centre. Everytime I have to move the viewports. Other thing is, When changing printer (pdf or other) the page scales in every centre instead as the whole.

When I import a dwg and the layers have the same name as the class of the vectorworks classes. The vectorworks gets the colors of the dwq file. Is it possible to keep the class colors of the vectorworks drawing, so that the layers of the dwg gets the colors from vectorworks.

One thing I want to set out of my mind.

I have a hard time for paying for a pakage and it only works partly, like with the opacity. Or bring the .pdf eporter to fundamental or only get opacity in the design pakage. Now more people who get the hang of 2009 are using more and more the opacity function and then come to me only for exporting it.

We got some problems with printing with opacity.

When trying to print drawings with some opacity in it, it collaps. It is when going directly to the printer and when printing to .pdf (pdf creator). There ar no problems when I export to pdf. But I'm the only one with Vectorworks architecture on our office. Is this maybe a driver isue?

After some adding and substracting solids and then turn them to surfaces a can't use the tool set modifiers. It doesn't do anything. When in a new drawing making a simple box and then turn it to surface it works. After pasting the more diffficult surface in the drawing it doesnt work anymore, also not on the simple box.

I don't know what the problem is. And it is not in one case, but everytime I do it.

Oh when I use extract curve mode it says in the Object Info tab that it is locked.
