[G5 Dual processor and VW 10.5.1b is no good]

I hope that there is no problem with the new G5 Duel processor. My company will be purchasing a couple soon and Vectorworks is our key program.

Is the same problem present with the new single processor G5s.

[External Raster Editor]

Number one on my wish list would be an External Raster Editor. Once an image file has been imported rotated and possibly scaled in VW it would be useful to select the image and edit it in Photoshop. Once the edit has been completed,save changes and it auto updates in your drawing. Macromedia Freehand has the perfect solution albeit a Graphics package.

[Tree Symbol Plug-in]

I would like to create a Plug-in object that would represent a tree in plan view. This would consist of a number of elements-a. Tree trunk - diameter can be specifiedb. Axes - North, South, East, and West - lengths of which can be specified from the centre point of the tree trunkc. A canopy which could be one of five classes eg. Class A, Class B etc.. and would be drawn to join the ends of each axis with a polyline by cubic spline.

I work on a lot tree surveys and this feature would save a lot of time and may be of use to many Landscape Architects.Have you any tips on how to start.

P.S. The automation of renaming classes script you posted previously has already saved me many hours of repetitive work.

[Importing DXF data]

I import Ordnance Survey data into VW on a regular basis. This data brings with it many as many as 40 differnt classes. At the moment I manually insert a prefix OS- in front of each class so that they will all become a subset of the 'OS' class. Is there a script that will automate this task and save me a lot of work.

Is there a plug-in or script that will create roads and footpaths in Vectorworks(similar to the way the wall tool works) but with variable junction radii and possibly creating turning heads. There is such a add-on that works within AutoCAD called 'Road Sketch'. I think many users would find this feature useful.

[PC Vectorworks raster render problems]

I have problems with very slow redraw times when I've imported a B/W .tif image file into a Vector Works drawing on my 800 Mhz PC.

The same problem doesn't occur when using a 400Mhz G3 Power Mac. Any suggestions as to a solution
