  1. I'm working on a drawing set in vectorworks 11 and all layers other than the active layer show up grey even when I set theit attribute to be "visible" in the layers pallete. is there another, over riding, preference that I'm not aware of?
  2. This isn't a vectorworks question per say, but I thought I'd ask it here anyway. When I'm laying out a wall that runs at an angle (say 45 degrees) what's the most efficient way to specify it's length. The issues is that a 10' wall measured on the center line is slightly shorter on the inside surface and longer on the ouitside. It makes for some messy, fractional dimensions that are going to make builders fume. What is the standard practice? - dimension from the center line or either outside surfaces and let the chips fall as they may for the rest?
  3. I'm making a drawing in vectorworks 11 that contains a number of curved walls. Some of them are simple arcs but others are more complex. What is the easiest way to acurately create curving double lines.
  4. Sorry, should have said I'm using version 11. Thanks, J.
  5. I'm working on a drawing that is rotated from the usual X, Y grid. How can I rotate my reference grid so my horizontal and vertical snaps work with it?
  6. No, the line remains unchanged no matter how close I zoom. And my choices for line weight are kind of odd: 1/16, 7/16, 7/8 - kind of fat lines - if they showed up!
  7. I'm using version 11 and there doesn't appear to be a toggle as you describe in the object info pallete. I wonder if this is a version 12 feature.
  8. Is there a way to specify where an object is fixed when you modify a dimension. The default apears to be fixed at center. For example if I have a 10cm line originating at 0,0 and I change the length to 8cm the new line originates at 1,0. I would like to be able to specify that the new line / object remain fixed at one end. Thanks by the way for all the help on my previous questions. J.
  9. I'm working on a drawing in vectorworks 11 with a page scale of 1:50 and can't seem to adjust line weight or style. It works fine for objects drawn at 1:1 scale but there is no effect at higher scales.
  10. Is there a way to simply duplicate an existing layer in vecortworks 11. I don't see an option to do this in the layers dialog box.
