  1. The Gobo Projector is a Legacy object and no longer supported. The functionality of the gobo projector has been integrated into the lighting device.

I can't comment on a release date. I have to leave that one up the the marketing end of the building.

Contact ESP www.espvision.com They handle the distribution of the plug-in. I thnk they have one ready for 12.
  4. No, it will only work with Version 12.
  5. Look for an object inside of another layer or group that is selected. If you have an instrument key, edit the group, deselect, and exit.
  6. If you just need a 3D element you can just exturde a copy of the 2D. Group both objects (2D and the 3D extrude) then convert to a lighting position.
  7. Your lighting position needs to have some 3D element.
  8. I don't think you can import WYSIWYG libararies into VW. You first have to export them from WYSIWYG in DXF/DWG. VW has a table and chair object that you can configure. There are also some preconfigured in the object libaries that ship with VW.
  9. Before converting to a position, use the truss tool to amkw a 10'long 12" box truss and set the hanging angle parameter to 90.
  10. If you are using architect try: Plug-Ins\VW_Arch\Data\Prefs_xx\Wall Type Library.txt
  11. The plug-in for ESP is produced by ESP Vision, not NNA. It could be released at any time by ESP Vision.
  12. The preview should show in quadrants. If you apply the texture to an object and render it in openGL it may tile it in quadrants. The image texture should map 1:1 to a 2"x2" poly when rendered in renderworks.
  13. Check the instructions on how to create a roof face. There are two more steps that need to be done AFTER the dialog closes. 1)Draw a line to indicate the Roof axis, 2)click to indicate the direction of the slope. The prompts appear in the mode bar, telling you what you need to do.
  14. This may seam odd, but create the stage as a roof face. It will automatically be a hybrid object and it will have pitch control and vertical sides.
  15. Try changing the date format on your system.
  16. When you run the convert/edit light command to assign the universe information, the edit bindings sub dialog that lets you set the orientation of the instrument.
  17. If you want to change the defaults for all new documets without using the stationalry file, you need to use the plug-in editor. Organize\Scripts\VectorScript Plug-In Editor... Select the tool you want to change and hit the Parameters button. ecect the parameter you want to change the default and click edit. Change the default value and click OK. This will change the default value for the object when it is placed for the first time in a document. The default values for existing documents will not change.
  18. I'm kind of lost at the moment on the structure of the PIO. It sounds like a PIO that contains other PIO's. In order to get the name of a PIO look at the name of last record attatched to the object. It should be the name of the PIO. You can get the values from this record. If you are using criteria make sure you use INOBJECT so it will look inside of PIOs.
  19. Just use custom selection or find and mofify. Run the command and choose to select all instruments with a focus point names X, then use the OIP to turn on draw beams. If you use find and Modify, tell it to select lights with the focus point named x and chand the draw beam field to true.
  20. What function are you using to get the object names?
  21. You need to add some 3D geometry to the position. When the object was converted to a position, a sumbol with the position name was automatically created. Find the symbol in the resource browser and edit it to add some 3D geometry. the simplist thing to do is to copy the 2D portion and extruce it. Once the object has 3D geometry you can give t a height. You can also just give each instrument a z height.
  22. Contact Tech support by phone or tech@nemetschek.net, you probably need to update the dongle driver. You can try downloading it from http://www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/enduser.asp
  23. Use the Rot parameter in the Object Info Pallette. This will rotate the object about the insertion point. Using cmd-l and the rotate tool rotates the instrument around the center of the bounding box of the object.
  24. Regenerate the object after you apply the texture. The textures for PIOs are not applied to the geometry inside of the object till the object is regenerated.
  25. First thing to do is to make sure that you are in the Spotlight workspace.
