  1. Hi Katie, I reported the problem via the bug report link/page - have not heard from them yet (emailed them Sunday just passed). Provided all of the information, including details from Microsoft's generated error report. BTW for your and other's info this is happening with different files (moderately complex to very simple) running XP (V2 with latest updates), 1Gb RAM, Pentium 2.13GHz CPU. Some of these files were originally created with v12.1. Some files use data copied to new files (under v12.5) in an attempt to bypass the problem. ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated. cheers, chas
  2. I have also started having serious problems with section viewports - crash after crash after crash when updating or creating. The number of bugs and crashes (from this and other bugs) is becoming *very* expensive. Does a patch to fix this exist? If so, then how can a user (UK in this case) get a patch asap to fix this? The bug frustrations and failures are overcoming the program's usefullness....
  3. The bug reported here and in a similar thread is still there in v12.5 (see below) and exposes itself when displaying in a viewport using hidden line mode. The unwanted lines around windows do not appear when viewing an elevation in hidden line mode on a design layer, however they do appear when displayed in a viewport. The lines which appear are items or edges which are part of the INTERIOR side of the window, such as *splayed* window reveals and interior trims. The underlying geometry of these items extendeds to the exterior wall and can be seen when displaying the window and wall in a design layer using wireframe mode. I agree that this is a serious problem and doubtless a tricky one for the coders to solve (obvious since the bug has been around a long time - maybe a fresh set of eyes might help to see the faulty code or data structure). I will be emailing this as a bug report (and hopefully use the correct email address :-)
