  1. I was hoping VW2008 would help those of us with a similar issue avoid the awkward hop in and out of Illustrator. Why can't VW parse pdf files yet??
  2. indeed, when? I'd love to see at least some info on VW's future road map. As I have posted earlier, we are developing an app in Cocoa that we wish we could interface with VW through the clipboard, but there does not seem to be any documented way of doing so. Another, related, welcome addition would be the capability to import pdf into Vectorworks. A lot of the drawings we receive from clients are sent to us in pdf format that we wish we could import into VW in order to edit them. Also, many programs can place pdf's into the clipboard and if VW was able to read (and generate) this data, it would automatically gain lots of interface capabilities. If there is anyone in the development team reading these forums, can you please let us know if you intend to implement some pdf-import at anytime in the future?
  3. It would be very nice to be able to simply cut and paste with other programs that support these formats, but even at the import/export level, support for these would be welcome!
  4. I am not sure whether VW is Carbon or Cocoa, but either way, this is possible and relatively easy to implement. It would make a great addition. Please add my vote for this wish list item, VW programmers.
  5. Do you guys know if there's any way to import/export mesh node coordinates and connectivity? I need to manipulate them outside VW. More generally, I guess, I'd like to be able to cut and paste VW objects from/to other apps. Does VW support any documented pasteboard formats?
  6. The ideal way to resolve this would be to have SVG and/or U3D formats support by VW on the clipboard. Does anyone know if this is being considered at all?
  7. Seems like this would be a great way to cut and paste stuff from and to other 3D apps. Are there any plans to implement support for this format?
  8. Is there any documentation on the pasteboard (clipboard) formats that VectorWorks uses, particularly for 3D objects? We are developing a Cocoa app from which we want to be able to copy a group of 3D objects (or 2D objects) for pasting into VectorWorks.
  9. I have had a couple of problems running VW12 on 10.4.6: 1) zooming in too closely on imported images, close enough to where the image does not fit inside the window, ruins scrolling or panning. I have to zoom out to scroll and then zoom back in. 2) As CanukDesigner, I cant select from different layers even with that option turned on.
