I would like to rotate the view in 2d. The 3d view rotate isn't suitable since all the lines and 2d objects don't rotate.
The reason one might want to do this is when two parts of something you're drafting are at arbitrary angles to each other. Or you might want to draw an elevation without rotating your plan to look at it at the correct angle.
A silly way around this would be to rotate the objects themselves but this can throw you away from your origin and is not good if you're doing lots of referencing. Viewports can rotate but it's not where i'd want to do my drafting.
Is there something that can let me look at my drawing from a different rotation in 2d while drafting 2d lines?
AutoCad can rotate the UCS and then you can view and draft orthoganally to it and that's exactly what I need to do in VW.
