Robert - How do I create a flat sloped roof/ceiling as a prelude to using the "fit walls to roof" command? Help - I am having a senior moment. Thanks from gloomy San Diego.
-
Kevin - I agree but I cannot seem to add a flat, sloping roof/ceiling to my kitchen. Can anyone provide a refresher? Thanks from San Diego.

Anyone clue me in to why I cannot make uneven corner length BASE cabinets (not wall cabinets, that's OK) unless I use the object property box, which only appears as the object is first used. How can I dig up the Properties (not info) dialog box? Thx.

How do I stop my walls from taking on the roof texture when I fit them to the roof (gable end)? Thanks in advance - it's driving me mad when I try to do the rendering!!! And apologies for my ignorance.

Agreed vis a vis plug ins and incompatibility. This has been an ongoing topic on one of the other forums (general discussion). FWIW I am on a cable modem with a wireless (airport) connection but I doubt this is the problem. This 2nd topic (12.5 updating) is being debated on the Installation Inquiries forum too.

Altho' having suggested that I see other users have installed the v12.5 successfully on similar platforms - but are now having issues with e.g. Artlantis and CD4.
-
Same here - could there be a glitch in the updater which keeps timing out.
-
Sorted - an intrinsic problem with the original VW file. Thank you to all on this forum.

Thanks to you and Christiaan. At the moment only part of the file is transferring to Artlantis but that is likely due once again to my lack of experience/naivete. I am such a bloody amateur but stubborn too.

Hi all you VW users. I am hoping you can help me. I am new to most of this coming as I do from a science and research background but I enjoy fresh challenges. I am using Sketchup, VWv12 and ArtlantisR. I am OK with the Sketchup2Artlantis export and subsequent rendering but am stuck at the mo with VW2Artlantis. How do I either ungroup, or separately encode the varying entities in VW so that they can be rendered individually in Artlantis? At present I have not sussed this out - all my walls appear identical, floors etc.!!! Any pointers to fix my ignorance would be very much appreciated. Gerry San Diego ggillespie1@san.rr.com

In some layers it's straight forward - but in others I cannot change from engineering to architect and back. What do I not get? Thanks.

HI - sorry to push but has anyone managed to figure out what is going on with the elusive Sketchup plug in. Any thought appreciated. Sincerely, Gerry. San Diego

On the other two it does not show up at all, although re-running the updater says that it is there. The one machine that it is working on is a dual 1 ghz g4, the others are a 1 ghz g4 and a iMag G5. Very strange. A bug perhaps? Anyone got ths figured out yet?

What's the simplest way to delete all contents of a schedule for editing purposes? I have a number of items duplicated (through my own ignorance since I am new to VW and drawing/labeling in general). Thanks. Gerry San Diego [ 02-21-2006, 03:37 PM: Message edited by: pateley ]
