I'm a PC user of VW; currently use an HP 430 and an HP 4M, also considering some kind of color output. Epson (I think) 1520 and 3000 are usual suspects. User opinion of HP varies widely (My experience has been great). I'll be interested to hear what you choose. Carl I have an Epson 1520 an I'll give it a 7 out of 10. It has a margin of over 2.5" on one side of the 22" x 17" paper that seems like a lot of wasted space. Sometimes the paper doesn't feed right if you don't have it sitting in the tray just right
  2. Hi Dave, we are a highend custom cabinet shop. I've been using VW8.5 for just under a year. I still have alot to learn (too busy at work to sit down and figure some things out). I have been using the stock cabinets for 3D and find it a great sales tool as well as an informative visual for the guys in the shop. Would like to learn how to change door style. Following is our website and email. I thing we could be of help to each other. Bob http://www.bcwoodworking.com/ rditch@mindspring.com
  3. I have a G4/400,128mb with a factory installed ATI Rage 32MB card and have had no problems at all. Bob

I was trying to print a rendered drawing with my pref. set to a black screen - doesn't work

  6. I am unable to "modify others" when I sent the option to "Show/Snap/Modify Others" if the layers are set to different scales. Is this the case or am I doing something wrong?
  7. I've been using the Epson 1520 for several days now and the only thing I don't like is that it takes up to 17" wide paper (which is great) put the print area is only 13.6" wide. Seems like a waste of 2.4" to me
  8. thanks for the imput. I ended up buying an Epson 1520 - Serial port compatible, 17"x23" paper size, and the price was right. So far so good

Thanks for the reply - I'm somewhat new at this and your input is helpful - Whay do you mean by "comes with Stylescript (PostScript 3)" Do I need to be concerned about this? Thanks. Bob
  10. I'm in the market for a new printer. I would like to print at least 11x17, with a best case 13x19. I'm using a PowerMac 8500/150 (no USB port). Thanks
  11. I figured it out - I had my preferences set different. I had "Click Drag Drawing" & "Snap to Loci" on; this was causing the problem
  12. I've been using VW 8.5.2 on a PowerMac 8500/150 . I just upgraded to a G4 and I'm having 2 problems. (1) When I open a VW file created on my older Mac I get 2 horizontal dashed lines and 4 vertical dashed lines on the screen. (2)The dimension tool doesn't work. After clicking on the icon my first click results in changing to the pointer tool. What gives?
