some weeks ago some one suggested making date stamp a symbol & edit symbol as required that works perfect here as date changes only when required to change

Control 0 will give you a small cross cursor click once on roof (when in top plan) & second click in direction of view OK and there is your view

nothing I have experienced that same bug quiting VW & reopening will probably fix it

I have noticed that behaviour every now and then but the wall will reappear after quitting VW and reopening the file.

Another way would be to use abstract surface, switch on red surface class move surface 1mm away from floor object en give it required texture

you probably have to increase the size of the enclosure which is related to scale unlike the text

Thanks DMorong I am aware of that.

I just tested this, when using chain dimension in a VP they become so many dimensions but on a design layer it stays a chain dimension also in a VP they will not become a chain dimension when either grouped or composed.

But in a section VP it stays a chain dimension curious.

Since VW 9 I have never had this problem this started yesterday normally i double click a symbol in my resource browser & insert it in my drawing be it a windoor I created or coffee table or 2D North point

I found my problem 2D insertion mode

When I double click a symbol in my resource browser, my open file or any favorite file my cursor changes to 2D insertion tool and I get the message the selected object is not a 2D symbol the only way to get that symbol in my file is to click drag it out of the resource browser, I hope this is clearer
