  1. Could there be two instances of the same door?
  2. It will work as a viewport on a sheet layer
  3. You might be after the navigation palette
  4. I have always found this tracing a bit tedious so an other trick is (I think it was Archoncads) instead of tracing, place a number of 3D loci (correct height of course) along 2D contours select & create site model. I thought autocad people where quite rigid and standardized meaning USA = AUS
  5. In the survey dwg I receive there are 3 NS classes: (after importing to VW) NS - which are 3D loci, NS_contours - which are 2D polys, NS_triangles - which are 3D polys. I select either the 3D loci or 3D polys and create a site model without tracing anything works everytime.

  13. After you selected wall framing and created a model name you will find all design sheet names & sheet names selected. Create a new model name and all sheets will be unticked( this is quicker then unticking them all). Then hit options and select new next under wall class and tick appropriate class. Good luck, oh and it does not do round walls.

  23. My PC colleague had similar problems with VW2009 (constant freezing) and Ozcad had the following advice which fixed the problem: "When something suddenly changes in the way Vw is operating, it is usually due to either a corrupt file (if it only occurs in one file) or with a stored setting or preference. Assuming the latter, try these things in this order: 1. Hit the Reset button in Vectorworks Preferences (Tools menu/Options). Try running Vw for a while to see if that has fixed it. If not... 2. Go to Vectorworks Preferences, click the User Folders tab, then click the Explore button in the top right of the dialogue. This will reveal the user folder. With this folder still open, return to Vw and quit. Back in the user folder, rename the folder called "Settings" to "Settings Old" then try running Vw for a while to see if that has fixed it. If so, you can delete the "Settings Old" folder."
  24. Yes noticed same, seems to pick up hidden lines as boundary.
