  1. Hello, I am trying to write a script that will interface with Vectorworks Spotlight's instrument data, IE the User1, User2,Channel, etc columns. So that I can make changes to a light based on information I import from Lightwright, or some other external source. I can't seem to figure out whre the documentation is related to scripting with Spotlight is. Could someone please help me and point me in the right direction. Just to give you an Idea of what I am trying to do, I would like to be able to take x, y coordinates for each light, that I have placed into the User1, User2 columns, and move each light to that x,y position. With the MoveTo Command. If there is a better way to do this, I am all ears. Thank you for your help.
  2. I just tried to upgrade Vectorworks 12 to 12.0.1 twice on my G4 Powerbook OSX 10.4.4. Each time it says that it is complete, but when I open Vectorworks, It still says that it is running version 12.0.0. The Lit Fog feature that a friend who runs 12.0.1 has doesn't show up, and I did a search on my computer and I can't find any newer versions. What Am I doing wrong, do I need to do something extra? Thank you for your help. Justin W. King VCU
  3. I wanted to know what techniques everyone uses to portray booms in 2d, while having the lights show up in 3d. Is it posible to seperate the 2d and 3d symbols. Thankyou for your help
