  1. We are brand new to the VectorWorks community but I have to tell ya the install process is a real BITCH! (sorry! but this is the truth!) We are having nothing but problems getting the 3 CD's loaded and then running the 1st again. On one of our Dell Computers, we loaded the CD's provided to us which are Version 12.0 BUT we are getting version 10.0 downloaded!!! That seemed odd enough. Then we began loading the install disks onto our newest Dell Computer and THAT one will not even take CD#2. We cannot get past CD#1. It seems to not read the CD or it freezes at 59% loaded. Are the CD'2 of good quality? I ask this because it seems as though CD#2 is worn out already! Was 10.0 part of this CD set and 12.0 upgrades incorporated into it and perhaps there is a problem with the "patch" ? The other scary thing about the install process is that on our Compaq laptop, which was the FIRST PC we installed the disks on the day they came in the mail, none of this stuff occurred. We had NO problems and NO issues with using the software (12.0). This unit has a Turion 64 processors and the Dells have Intels. Is there an issue with Dell Computer Processors & the software??? The other part that puzzles us is that we are trying to REMOVE 10.0 which was "erroneously" installed onto Dell #1 and it will not uninstall. That does not make me very happy given the amount of space it uses. I have emailed the sales rep and the tech support gal. Did I mention we JUST contracted for THE PROGRAM A WEEK AGO??? We have spent over 16 hours trying to work the bugs out of this install process and I gotta tell ya this is not a good start to a long term relationship! Waiting in Chicago for answers...
