  1. Does the time limit option work? i have put it on various times from 5 minutes to an hour and it never seems to cut off the render. also, the "time used" rarely registers and "time remaining" never seems to register anything. most often i get a "not responding" on bar at top of vw. the building i am trying this with is an extremely simple one story.this occurs on rendering a simple front elevation, isos, as well as camera views etc. the color-coded preview does not generate anything resembling what is indicated in your knowledgebase article as well as other minimal information on this system. I am running dual AMD 4200, have 4 gig memory, abit m/b,nvidia geforce 7600gs (256mb), xp-sp2, vw-12.5.1, all drivers are up to date.
  2. it was given a solid fill. however, it had a curved arrow over the fill indicator. when i reclicked fill, the arrow disappeared, and it rendered correctly. thanks
  3. I have a corbel created by "extrude by path". It has a texture and a fill. On render with custom RW, fast RW, fast RW w/shadows, etc. Any ideas?

    vw will not launch

thank you for your quick response. i am on PC (dell xeon 3.4ghz, 3 gb ram). i had also attempted to launch from the app folder with the same results. i tried to launch quicktime and indeed it was corrupt, so downloaded quicktime v 7.1.3, and installed. on launching vw, i got the message that this version was newer than what was shipped with vw and that vw might not work and if so, reinstall the version of qt that came with it. same results...vw looks like it is going to run but then just closes, whether launching from app folder, start menu or opening a file. what is my next step? (btw, i had also reinstalled starting with vw v12.0 with same results already). thank you
  5. on launch, vw 12.5 will appear for about 2 seconds, as if it will work. then it disappears completely. this occurs whethe launching from start menu or opening a vw file.
