    Shutters

Do the shutters now work properly in 12.5 when you add them with the windows? I haven't seen this discussed and it is a major problem for me. Just wanted to know and I appreciate any feedback. Jim S. Mac PowerPC G5
  2. I am using 12.0.1. This problem only appeared after I upgraded to 12.0.1. I should note that in my second post I mentioned that I had been able to get the doors to work correctly. That is a mistake, I got the windows to work correctly, but not the doors. Architect 12.0.1 PowerPC G5 1.8GHz OS X 10.3.9 Jim S.
  3. Bueller.... Bueller.... anyone? Jim S.
  4. Okay, I have learned how to get the doors to show the trim, you have to get the flip and everything exactly a certain way. It seems to have gotten rid of the box around the windows that was always present around doors and windows in 12.0.0. However, I cannot seem to get it to work with the doors no matter what flip and other settings I experiment with. Any help? 12.0.1 G5 1.8 GHz OS X 10.3.9
  5. I just upgraded to 12.0.1, and now when I edit windows or doors in previous drawings the trim disappears in my design layer renderings. I am using these in brick walls and splaying the walls. This didn't happen in version 12.0.0. Am I missing a setting or is there a problem? Architect 12.0.1 PowerPC G5 1.8GHz OS X 10.3.9 Jim S.
  6. Thanks for the tips Robert, I appreciate it and my doors and windows are looking great now. Jimmy Starrett
  7. When inserting doors and windows into an exterior wall, example 2X4 with brick, how do you get it to insert properly with the trim around the framing only and not the brick. I have tried everything I know to try and have not found an answer searching the forum. Thank-you for your help to probably a dumb and easy question. 8. For those of you that do residential design, concerning houses with a crawl space foundation, how do you handle drawing the footing and piers? Do you just use the unstyled wall and set your footing and then come back over it with your wall and piers? Also, for your girders and joist, do you draw them correctly or just show arrows for direction and note your requirements such as double joist and spacing. Thank-you for your response and time. Any help to speed up this part of my designing is greatly appreciated. Jim S.
  9. Thanks Mat, that took care of it. Jim
  10. I am just learning Vectorworks Architect and would appreciate some help. I am creating a very simple house as I learn this software and when I use the Create Roof command I get a roof in all of my model layers. In the pop up window for creating a roof, I type in that I want the roof created in my layer for modeling the roof (Mod-Roof), yet I get a roof in all of my model layers. Thank-you for your help. Jim
