Rick. Upgrade to VW12 6 x User Fields, and seems to be a lot better than previous attempts regarding the Import/Export I asked Kevin about changing the Labels in the OIP, this was his reply. In the plug-in editor change the Alternate Name for the field in the lighting device. Changing the Name will cause problems if someone else opens the file. Simon

Kevin. In case anyone cares, there seems to be a very large difference in Performance if you Convert Copy To Lines instead of Polygons.

Kevin. Is there a really easy way of converting an object or Lighting Position to a Hybrid ? When I Import the Truss file in 2D it will read as being 2D/3D in the Resource Browser, however when I insert a piece of truss on the drawing in Top/Plan I lose all the detail. Am I completely missing the point here ?

I have imported various bits of truss from a file sent to me from Total Structures, the reason being is that I have to come up with strange lengths so I end up using alot of Cubes. Not that I do not like the Truss Tools provided I just need to see what it is really going to look like. So, I lay out the Truss in the configuration I need, make it into a Group then make it into a Lighting Position, Name it, now ,if Position Summary is selected my Truss disappears and I am left with the Position Summary, deselect Position Summary, Truss reappears, any ideas.
