Katie - On a lark, I reinstalled the OS on the Intel iMac and now printing works. The 110 showed up in the Printer Setup Utility after rebooting was complete and it ran off a D print just fine. I hope everything holds as it is. For anyone's interest, I did not archive and install, just used upgrade and made sure the HP drivers were checked to be installed. What is it? I get this when printing from VW 12.5 on an Intel iMac (new) using 10.4.7 to a HP110plus. Things were fine on my old G4, and the printer works fine when printing from other applications on the new machine. The error message window has a VW logo in it, so I'm assuming the problem is in VW? Thanks! DonB

I'm using VW 12.5 and Architect at present and am thinking of buying Renderworks for more clever output, but am not sure the hardware I have is adequate. I don't know about others, but I use the polygon rendering because it's more accurate when checking my work. The OpenGL is great for clients and looking at the overall esthetic, but I think it's precision derives from looking at the polygon earlier. Thanks to all for your replies - I set up a keystroke for rendering and am happy again. DonB

I'm doing most of my work now in 3d and switch back and forth between plan and perspective views to check my work. I can force openGL rendering with comm-shift G but is there a way to set prefs to render automatically or another keystroke to render the shaded/unshaded polygons?

Just tried installing 12.5 and a glitch in the install wiped out my copy of 12, which is required to be present, so now I can't do anything. I only own a single license, so can I reinstall 12 and go on to upgrade or does someone have to give me a secret handshake? Thanks DonB

I'd like to have the witness lines a dash-type line rather than solid and till now have been ungrouping and re-selecting them etc, a tedious process. Is there a way of selecting in Prefs or making some sort of Class to allow this when drawn originally? The dimension line itself would remain solid. Thanks!
