  1. Yes, this has been driving me nuts. When I first create the callout and confirm my prefs in advance all is good. However if I subsequently edit it, the margin changes to "0". This occurs both on Design Layers as well as in annotation mode on sheet layers. Have you submitted a bug report?
  2. Amazing what a round of sleep will do for you, I have solved the problem! Upon reflection this problem crept up after a crash. Even though I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of VW I maintain my User Data and Preference Folder in a different location than the program folder. When I reinstalled I set the path for these to my usual location BEFORE testing the problem. This morning I realized that this was most likely where the problem was located. After restoring an older version (pre-crash) of these files and settings the problem has gone away. I don?t know exactly which file was the culprit but imagine it must have been one of the VWPluginLibraryRoutines. Either way, another example of why frequent backups are so important! Thanks,Scott
  3. Check your settings for both Non-Rotating and Right Reading. See if altering them give you the desired results.
  4. Hello All! I have a symptom that arose today that is puzzling and disturbing. Suddenly a Label Legend that I have been using for years is behaving strangely. This symptom is computer specific, it happens with any file on my desktop and does not replicate this behavior with same files on my notebook. I did a complete uninstall per the instructions on the NNA website, including removing all folders and files from the Registry file as instructed. The color field in my label legend is given a specific width, assigned to wrap text, and has a vertical alignment of bottom. It is designed this way so that if multiple colors are used, one of the will ?wrap? around and appear above of the other. This has worked fine for years; until now. Suddenly the text is wrapping, but does not appear above the other but displays directly on top of the other, i.e. on the same plane or y-axis. The labels remain fine in existing drawings until I refresh the entire drawing, or refresh a single unit. In new drawings the symptom occurs immediately. I And yes, it prints out the same way. Also, this is not only happening to my files and legends. The same thing happened with the ?Label Legend Holder? file that ships with AutoPlot. I have also attached a file with image of symptom As it is computer specific I am sure that something is corrupted. However, having done a complete uninstall, reboot, re-install and update before testing again only to have the same result I am baffled. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts, reactions, or suggestions. I have tried to send a jpeg, but my post keeps getting rejected, which I think is causing the rejection. Thanks! Scott
  5. I believe this tool would/could become much more useful and friendly with two options (which in my feeble little mind would not be hard to implement): 1-allow the user to sort or dictate the order layout of the symbols in the key. I have found no mention of this in the manual but it appears as if symbols are placed in top to bottom order based on the order in which they are placed in the drawing. This is not intuitive nor normal to anyway of thinking. It seems there should be someway to sort these items by the user before creating the key--maybe in the Inventory Report setup screen under Generate Paperwork. 2-allow a preference setting for Key creation to leave the symbols vertical, or to rotate them "horizontal". It would be really clever to ask which direction horizontal. Thanks! Scott
  6. I have a question and a comment. Where is the proper place to list "wishes" to be considered for future updates/versions? I have a request that the following changes/additions be made to the Spotlight macro/tool "Key to Instrumentation": 1-allow the user to sort or dictate the order layout of the symbols, and 2-allow a preference to leave the symbols vertical, or to rotate them "horizontal". It would be really clever to ask which direction horizontal. If these abilities exist I have not found them and would be grateful for elucidation if I have missed them. Thanks! Scott
  7. Hello All! I'm fairly new to all of this so please forgive me if this is a basic question or if I may need further elucidation down the road. I have created a PIO. I am using many of these in a "vertical" list. I have created an Editable Worksheet to change/edit the data. I am curious if I can list the "Y" coordinate in the worksheet and actually enter a change in the worksheet that will move the item accordingly on the drawing. NOTE: What I read in the manual in the section of Plug-In parameter types (on pg. 101) leads me to believe this is possible. I thought I would do a quick check with the community to see if: (1) this is indeed possible, (2) there are any hidden pitfalls to avoid, and (3) to see if there are any preferred or suggested methods of accomplishing this. Thanks! Scott
